One of the best things you can do is actually smell the mycelium. If it's a mold, it won't have the same earthy or mushroomy fragrance you're used to.

OP, i don't know what you are seeing. Looks dry to me but i'm color blind so might be missing something else. What's the concern?

It's just dry, the mycelium looks like its starting to bruise.

What are we looking at the dark patch bottom right or the slight blue at the top?

Definitely looks like bruising. Guessing the dark spot is the shadow from taking the photo?

This is what I thought (about the dark spot) if it's not a shadow or the lighting or something then that is a bit suspect
