I in fact did not have the conditions correct. Increased FAE gave me fully healthy shrooms, but they still shrimp dick genetics:


I havent modded this one tub thats flushing. So im still dickin with the lid and misting like twice a day, mostly in the corners where the lid is gaped more cuz it's a cheap ass warped lid. So that wud account for the few split caps over here. Wonder if this one is jst unusually light capped or a shrimp dick albino B+:

Well...  if you want bigger shrooms, let them grow longer.  You harvested a bit too early.

i agree about early harvest. wait longer and let them veils drop. cant say about genetics but i can say they will get a bit bigger and dont worry about losing potency

wanna see some shrimp dick shrooms.

Haha it's multispore, im not pickin 3 or 4 at a time. The vails appear to have more stretch but dickin with FAE made the vails tear way early, and i dnt like em when the cap s all loose.

This dehydrator is pretty rad. They look jst as good as when i was open air drying them, but now it only takes an hour.

What kind of voodoo black magic dehydro is it? Either it's really cool or those suckers aren't fully dry... i think. Did you check to see that they quit loosing weight? They do look great but what makes you think they are fully dry?

Also, harvesting a tad early = sexy bag appeal IMO

There was one or two that still had a tiny bit of moisture in them. These are not very large shrooms. And i didnt run it full yet.

No really... Is this albino or is it jst fucked up from excess misting & drying? Couple of his buddies next to him are kinda ligher capped. Need a pro to chime in here:

dry conditions can give lighter caps. more humid/wet conditions the darker.

in fact, like damn near every 'albino' mushroom you see is usually growing in a tub with crappy conditions(dry)

if hes albino the spores will be invisible. so when the cap opens take a look. better yet post a pic:awesomenod:

probably leucistic tho.

Ok, everyone else is starting to pin. Hope i got this better than b4. Looking for helpful input, if you shud care to share it.

Tub #1: Havent modded this one yet. Kinda fucking around with it.


Tub #2: Seems these modded tubs like to pin mad in the corners.


Tub #3: These were from wet ms spawn, so dnt judge too harsh.

The 77F high was me running the dehydrator in here, which i guess i cant do.

right on man. I wouldn't dehydrate in the grow room. 77 degrees isn't the end of the world but dehydrating the air will cause your tubs to dry out faster. Also, you may already know this but side pins are typically indicative of that being the easiest place for pins to form. This happens because the surface of the sub is too dry and the edges retain a better climate.

All in all things are looking pretty good though. I'll be curious to see what you get.

Yeah i was thnking the reason behind them dense clusters of pins in the corners was the adjacent holes. Like there is jst a sweet amount of fresh air and the right amount of humidity.

I seem to recall Pasty and Croncr sassing me for using such large tubs because of the drastic atmospheric differential across such a large surface. I thnk i understand now.

There are some pins out in the center. Imma keepin' a sharp eye on 'em. Since i dnt stack my tubs directly on top of each other, i suppose i cud cut a porthole in the center of the lid. Seems like a good experiment at the least.

Modified #1. Only lid i put holes in, for experimemtation.
Dicking with fae gave me all kinda tiny light capped future abortions. Only got about 4oz from this tub. I thnk i put about 5qts in. A very edjucational 4oz, mind you.


Other tubs in no particular order. Every so often i gotta mist the area around/under the portholes cuz it dries out.

I was about to say its hard to believe it only took a hour to fully dehydrate those... leaving them with moisture is gonna degrade
that potency mate
 
  and id wait till your caps stretched the veil a bit more before you pick, the first pic in the OP could have gone 4-8 more hours before the veil even ripped.

I filled two racks and it took hours to dry today. Pretty cool shit. LtLurker was the one who finally got thru to me bout the dehydrator.

Oh wow yeah i dnt thnk it took that long. Maybe 4hrs.
Then again i've had some sweet head injuries, and i didnt time it.

So dude, imma run a shoebox of whatever varitey to get a nice clone, then run the cloned myc in the big boy tubs so im not using lots of supplies and space on MS grows.

Nxt run i do is prolly gonna be from a clone from this batch of ShrB+, and prolly from myc from that big gangley ass white cap i had growing in here. I've not done this b4 but as i understand it grows from a clone are far more dense, uniform, and flush evenly. This true? My plan is good, yeah?
