I just buy whatever is $40 to $60 and is on Amazon with good reviews.

Those moon shoes are cool. You could pick up women with those shoes in the bar if they had a sense of humor. You could wear a classy suit with those shoes and bounce around everywhere you go! You would be a big hit around town.

Leather steel toe boots.

I was waiting on the bus and this group of black kids were going on and on about the very best footwear out there (I was sitting there in flipflops so not exactly in on their game) and they reached consensus that Skechers were the be-all-end-all of cool shoes and not retardedly expensive too.

Bus came, headed home, was curious so I checked the website and yes, looked like cool gear for not-so outrageous prices.

Even bought a pair of their sandals :lol: cause I got my Cariris flipflops (black natural rubber for best vulcanization durability), my Lowa Argon GTX hiking shoes (marathon runners and offroad hikers use this one) and now a pair of Skechers Relone-Henton sandals (lightweight, waterproof, comfortable, synchronicity.)

The synchronicity event with the Cariris was that the order was processed through Florida during that terrible hurricane, and with the Lowas that I could buy 2 pairs for the price of one shoe. With these Skechers I was looking for a pair of sandals for spring and a ton of events happened pointing in that direction, including said overheard conversation. And they look exactly like the pair of sandals I been looking for for a long time and even visualized in a MXE trip.





YOU GOT TO WATCH THE SIGNS ALL AROUND YOU because the answer is always close to the solution. They're a quantum pairing and :blah:


Look into Skechers and see whether you are drawn to a pair, then if thats if for you buy that. Or asics, or Puma or Nike, whatever man, whatever YOU get drawn to and get shepherded towards by your life, be a good sheep and buy that.

Following your Higher Self in making all decision is whats good for the Goose AND the Gander.

I bought a pair of Ariat right out of Gander Mountain (hunting store) .

You can probably find many good brands.

My Ariat pair has done me well for about 3 years and still going. I have used the boot most every day through every season. I work in the field, snow, etc.. They are still like new. No breaks or leaks.

Although I never intended to buy this certain brand.

I'm sure there are many good brands.

Get yourself a good pair of leather boots.
You'll wonder how or why you ever wore sneakers.
They mold to your foot over time. You have to break them in. You might get a blister or two, but They become YOUR boots.
My old man would fill his boots with water and wear them, to break them in. My uncle would soak his in mineral oil.
It's nice to sit down and oil the leather and take care of them. You'll learn to respect the things you own.
You'll have them for years. And when the soles wear out, you can always get them re soled and keep rocking the same pair even longer.
Try getting some boots man.

Me personally, over the summer, if I'm casually wearing shorts, and I'm going out, I'll put on a pair of beater flip flops to wear around that I've had for years. If I go anywhere and need to be dressed more, pair of blue jeans and my boots.
Rest of the time I'm bare foot. The soles of my feet are brown!

I'm on a break, dont worry.

Footwear is important though, its a tool you give your feet to carry you through life, and in some peer groups something you are judged by.

so much to unpack in that post, i felt like i went on a journey.

i have a good collection of sandals but my feet are pretty beat up from years and years of breaking various bones(skating and taekwondo) and honestly when i was in HS some bitch girl made fun of my feet(i had just gotten out of a cast) and i've had issues with strangers seeing my feet.

i really like the boots posted in this threat already, my brothers in the Marines and honestly i like the way their boots look, i asked him to enquire about the cost for them and they are stupid expensive.


i have size 12-13 depending on the brand or style so sometimes it's hard to find a good fit that doesn't make me look like a cartoon.


my fashion style is basically me walking around random stores and shops and buying stuff that strikes my fancy.

i guess you could call me picky but when i was in the shoe store today 95% of them look like neon trash.  i feel like shoe makers are tying to make something very unique and end up all looking plastic and unappealing

Im pretty much obsessed with having good shoes and healthy feet

Im a firm believer in evolution providing the best solution as in my feet in their natural form. I try to walk barefoot as often as possible and wearing shoes that give my feet room to move

Not gonna lie, Im kinda proud of how healthy my toes splay and overal feet strength and dexterity

my mom always let me run around without shoes as a kid and i still don't wear socks and shoes as much as possible.

i did martial arts for a very very long time and was in alot of tournaments and part of sparing at competitions are a lot of broken bones and unfortunately for me most of my breaks were in my feet and uncountable toes broken as well.

so my feet are kind of janky and crooked

They don't smell bad at all. The inside is all leather too, so they don't ever really get gross, as long as you take care of them.

Personally I never wear the same pair two days in a row to let them dry properly. I wear 5 different pairs minimum throughout the week

Go in a store and try several pairs on, walk up and down isles in them, do quick turns and pivots, try them. With that budget you can get a really good par. Sometimes the cheaper ones are better. Try many many pairs of different brands on.

Is having a lot of shoes weird? Its just a bunch of Vans that Im now slowly switching for minimalist shoes.

I work 4 days at the office and I have 4 pairs lined up there that I work my way through during the week. I mostly commute on motorcycle so I change my riding boots for the next pair of shoes in line.

You should try switching shoes. Your feet will be very happy :thumbup:

Actually having several pairs of shoes, if affordable, is how you SHOULD do it because when you cycle pairs, apart from drying, you let most of the micro organisms die off in the worn pairs.

I'm doing the billionaire thing and have several instances of the same well thought out outfit and cycle those.

Central to the outfit is a type of navy blue (authority color) shirt of a type worn by service personnel & security guards, oversized to my obese body as to have the loose fit of a Japanese kimono. Its humble (service personnel outfit), professional and hints that you're not one to mess with (security look), while downplaying the obesity underneath. 

It has to work for you.

I also have the tendency to dress in a similar fashion. Not the same style but when I find pants or shirts that are a good fit, I often buy a couple of the same model in different colors.

So I have only 3 model pants but 12 different colors, same for shirts and pullovers. In that regard Im very loyal to brands that I like.
