I call BS on this. It's a pretty convenient justification, but there's many more ways to prevent HIV than mutilating babies at the risk of also killing them.

The bill for the whole pregnancy came to a grand total of $15. I'm not sure how much of the was to cut him and not sure what that has to do with anything. It is a really quick thing to do and took under 10 minutes. They basically just wrap a band around it and let the rest of the dick grow until the skin falls off.

The idea that one does not look good naked without this surgical modification boils down to (anticipated) social pressures. Same with your scenario of the girls laughing behind his back. But yes you did give some other reasons. IMO the cleanliness thing is a mostly a red herring. Bathing at least daily and after sex is a good idea for anyone. Apart from that there is just the perception of cleanliness, which again is a social thing. And with the STI studies, were these people using condoms and using them properly? Behavior is the biggest factor in avoiding STIs.


You could say that anything and everything you do is from social pressure then. It does have a social aspect to it because girls and guys that I have talked to about it say they like cut better. I didn't feel any pressure to do it or not do it.

They are dying from infections because of the circumcision wound. People die from infections all the time. 100 out of 600,000 isn't too bad and it probably saves lives in the long run. Giving birth is risky and there are many things that could kill you or your baby. Your baby could die from getting a vaccine. Should we stop giving vaccines too? Some things are worth the risk.

The world dislikes Americans because we identify as Americans? I think this is all in your head. Some like us, some hate us and some have good reason to hate us. 75% ? I would hope that most people are too busy with their own lives to really care much about what the average American is doing.

You’re so full of shit it’s laughable. Saves lives?? You’re acting like it’s a medically necessary procedure and it’s not. It actually cuts off some of the most sensitive parts of the penis. It causes desensitization and erectile dysfunction. The head of your dick isn’t skin it’s actually a mucous membrane that has now calloused from all of the friction being unprotected.
