Too apathetic to read many of the previous responses, but I will give my essentially useless thoughts on circumcision.

I am circumcised and happy that I am. Sex still feels great for me. Maybe I'm lucky in terms of greatly enjoying sexual pleasure; I have heard claims that being "un-cut" makes sex feel much better than "cut" guys. I have also heard that it doesn't cause much of a difference. I frankly don't care enough to do deep research, as I am happy with my situation, and I am unlikely to have kids of my own any time soon. My grandfather was uncircumcised, and then got circumcised later in life due to infections or some shit. I would rather get it over with before I can remember the process.

I am no hardliner. As I previously stated, I just don't care much either way. I am busy thinking about schooling and work and relationships; I don't think about the ethics of cutting off baby penis skin. I do, however, think that the Jewish tradition of using the human mouth as a mechanism for circumcision is pretty barbaric, especially considering cases in which babies contract diseases from their rabbis.

I personally think circumcised dicks look better. This is completely subjective, and is overwhelmingly likely to simply result from the fact that circumcised dicks are the norm in my culture. If the majority of people in my culture think that "cut" dicks look better than "un-cut" dicks, I think that it is safe to say that they do look better, given the cultural context. Aesthetics are almost completely subjective, in my personal opinion.

Anyways... My girlfriend, who I can imagine being with for the rest of my life, is personally against circumcision at the moment. I think her mind could change. I wouldn't care much either way. I don't know if that makes me cold. If circumcision resulted in my theoretical son losing sensation in his penis head, I would feel guilty. If we left him "un-cut," and he had issues later in life, I would also feel guilty. I will likely eventually need to do a lot more thinking on this subject.

I don't think it is as pressing of an issue as female genital mutilation. I don't care if "meninists" are offended by this. Female genital mutilation is barbaric, unnecessary in virtually all circumstances, and is abusive in all ways imaginable to me.

As I said, I didn't read many other responses to the OP. I am simply on a stimulant, and I feel like rambling aimlessly.

Its almost frightening how so few people look at this as a big deal.

I could sit here and list off the many many cons of circumcising a child but most of us know. Its sad, really
