I have to agree, Massive Attack, the Meat Puppets, The Reverend Horten Heat, and Switchblade Symphony all kick ass, not too mention OpIv, but punk dies in the mainstream so they're just where they should be. i used to really like Rancid but there last few albums have not appealed to me. Oh yeah, Incubus sucks ass and should be thrown in a Turkish prison with all the other shitty metal/hip hop hybrids that have been polluting the airwaves. And I would like to add PJ Harvey, Nick Cave, Sonic Youth, Cradle of Filth, Tricky, Orb, Leonard Cohen, Bob Log III and Front Line Assembly to the underrated bands list. I saw tripping daisy in concert and have Elastic Firecracker, and I think they're good but not great.;------------------ De Omnibus Dubitandum

In a time of such a dark, musical vacuum, there are a few rays of light and the brightest of them all is a band called Ween. No other band can make you sing along, laugh, tap your foot, get up and dance, press repeat, turn it up, and bang your head like Ween does. The music that Ween makes is similar to these psychedelics that I we're so interested in, they're a bit difficult to swallow at first, and in the beginning it might seem odd or unsettling. But soon, songs like "Don't get 2 Close (2 My Fantasy)", "Dr. Rock", "The Golden Eel", and "Mourning Glory" will make you forget about all the Britney Spears and Back Street Boys of the world. If you think you might like a cross between Beck, The Doors, Guns and Roses, and Pink Floyd - give Ween a try.------------------ www.bluehoney.org

The Cosmic Giggle Go see these guys live in Los Angeles Sunday September 10, at the Gig. They go on at ten, and they're supposed to bring alot of people. So, if you want to band together and further the community, rally behind these cosmonauts. They rock. Seriously.

Kriz...you are my kinda people! Bungle is one the most inovative bands I've ever heard. They're like Zappa to a new generation. Also, if you like heavy, differnet sounding stuff, check out Isis, or Neurosis. Maybe even Crash Worship. Beatrice, there is a band from Ohio by the name of Ekoostik Hookah who I would put in the genre of bands like phish, the dead, ween, etc. they are a really good band and you can download live stuff from they're website at http://www.ekoostik.com/

It can bring you back to that lulling pulse of the womb, or shake you like the chaotic noise of a great city. It never fails to amaze me!

Ekoostik Hooka?,....Ekoostik Hooka?... , I'm liking what I'm hearing. Definate regional band, but worth a look just the same, all. Some good sampling on site, but got to see live for full effect. Party on, Hookaville! Wouldn't want to forget some of the island favs, now would we? Peace
