I saw Harvey when I was a little kid, unfortunatley I don't remember much of it. I'll have to rent Run Lola Run next time.

I can't emphasize the importance of seeing "Being There". I know For A Fact that this particular group of people here in this forum will appreciate the movie more than most. Peter Sellers is a comedic genius; some might remember him from the original Pink Panther movies, as well as the title role in Stanley Kubrick's "Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb" (where he actually played a couple of characters, not only Dr. Strangelove).

"Being There" is one of the best movies I've ever seen. Sellers died not long after making it, and it was his last film. He was handed a shit deal when he didn't get the Academy Award for Best Actor (as are many).

------

Batou, the only other movie I can think of right now that many have never seen/heard of before is this:

"The Trip" It is an older movie starring Peter Fonda in one of his very first performances. Although he has gotten better, he (apparently) couldn't act worth a shit back then, and it kind of takes from the picture. ...And get this: it was written by none other than Jack Nicholson. Yes, that's right, he used to be a heavy LSD user. He did some crazy self-exploration involving a blindfold and "heroic" doses of LSD back in the 60's and 70's, and apparently fell in love with the drug. He wrote this movie, Fonda found it brilliant, and after Dennis Hopper joined the project, they made the film with the help of Roger Corman. They later went on to do "Easy Rider" (an amazing cult classic - if you haven't seen it, Go To Blockbuster Right Now).

Remember the scene in "Easy Rider" when the three travelers are sitting around a campfire and Jack Nicholson's character indulges in his first-ever joint? Well, that was filmed after the three enjoyed 105 real joints of Mexican grass. Damn cool little bit of information, huh? Least I think so...

I'll try to come up with more "undiscovered" movies, but, by all means, if anyone else has any, please share.

I want to see "Run Lola, Run," but I'll have to wait a year or so when I get back to the States, because right now the Japanese subtitles just wouldn't do me a lot of good.
