Condensation happens happens when there is a temperature difference and not a good indicator of moisture content. Totally normal.

That being said, it doesn’t mean the moisture is fine either. As long as you followed the tek and had your moisture content right to begin with then it should be fine. Is that coir?

I use MP on all my tubs  its waay easier IMO

Fuck fiddling around with polyfil. I just put one layer of poly on all holes and remove it from top holes once pinset is in, replace for second flush and usually dont remove it again unless second flush is looking thiccc

Yeah. Take two jars lids, one with a single layer of micropore tape and one with a poly stuffed hole, really stuff it like you're about to tear the lid open. Now blow through both. Oh? You can barely blow through the micropore? That's by design, it's a surgical product designed to allow wounds to breathe through a barrier. Air cannot pass freely through it.

Many many of us use mp on monos and use them on jar lids.

You are wrong:mad2:

Jars lids need gas exchange which is what they provide. That's what the monotub is getting too but it's not going to outperform a poly fill stuffed tub. I'm sorry but if you are unwilling to perform a simple experiment by blowing through two lids and must back your science up with "a bunch of us do it" I can't take you seriously. I'm not wrong, you are. With micropore tape you could aim a fan right at the tub and never dry it out, there is no FAE happening there, only gas exchange.

My dumbass trying to be helpful passing on old info...  I haven’t done any kind of tub tek in years (greenhouse style FC these days) and polyfil was the FAE filter of choice back then. I have used MP tape on jars for GE no problem. Now I know... definitely easier and cleaner to use.

What's even better is having no holes at all and just leaving the lid loose.
