Having problem starting MS syringe

Im new to agar recently and have successfully done spore print to agar and make several transfers then to grain.  I recently purchased some MS syringes from trusted source and ive only tried 1 variety so far and out of 15 plates and about 2 weeks , no sign of growth.  Contams or myc.  Have heard people say start on a piece of grain then transfer that to agar if im understanding correctly. If so , what is the best way to go about this ? Thanx.

What is your agar recipe like ? And how much are you dropping you only need one drop from he syringe ... shake it up really good before dropping .. I will do 3 drops kind of make a triangle to a plate.. soften up the agar maybe but you could be using too much solution which will never give the spores time to germ

Using MEA agar with pinch of brewers yeast. Got spore prints to germinate no problem.

Thank you!  You might have seen from another recent post of mine that I tried agar for the first time and FLOODED the dish with solution, which made some of the agar liquify, then quickly harden up again.  No one believed me!  They keep saying bacteria, bacteria, bacteria!

Yeah but spore solution is different.. if that doesnt work then you can use a smaller grain jar and put a couple drops to grain as said that will work as well no problem
