Anyone familiar with Las Vegas Airport?

On my way back from Colorado, I have a two hour layover in Las Vegas. Would it be possible to see a casino near the International Airport?

Or should i play it safe and stay at the airport and cruize around?

Never been, but it seems like a busy airport and I doubt that 2 hours is enough time to leave the airport and then comeback. Seems like they would have gambling at the airport though. Seems like it should be everywhere in Vegas.

I mean two hours is kinda tight. but u could do it u just wouldnt really have time to do anything. U can gamble at slot machines in the airport which is dumb.

The Las Vegas airport has gambling machines all over it. I think there might be a mini casino somewhere in it. Both times I stopped at that airport I saw a ton of slot machines and gambling stuff everywhere. It's been about 12 years since I was out that way, but I doubt all the machines are gone.

*Just saw the post above me.* It may be the case that there are only slot machines there. I am not a gambler, those were probably the "gambling machines" I am referring to. haha

My goal was to show my GF one of the casinos upclose. Shes never been to Vegas and i thought that would be cool.

I just checked the map, and MGM Grand is close, but is 2hours enough time to go there and come back via shuttle.....

Considering that you have to go back through security, 2 hours is way too tight.  Say 5 minutes to deboard the flight, 10 minutes to get an Uber, 10 minutes to get to the MGM Grand, 10 minutes to walk in and around, 5 minutes for another Uber, 10 minutes back, 5 minutes to get to the security check point.  Assuming everything goes right and you make these minimal times, you have 1 hour 5 minutes left to get through security, get to your flight, and board.  Doable, yes.  But you better hope you don't get in traffic or other delays happen.  I wouldn't risk it.

Yeah, thats what i was kinda thinking.

I kinda hoping that i get the "flight is booked, anyone wanna give up their seat?" Deal. Most people dont take it cause they have to be somewhere at a certain time, but if my flight left Monday morning for that "flight is full" deal or even Monday afternoon, thatd be all good for a returning flight.

i fly in to vegas every year - think youd probably only have 30 minutes or so once there but its doable. despite being a large international airport its actually pretty quick. I dont think 30 minutes is near enough to get a decent casino experience though...

id change my flight to have a larger layover if you wanted to hang for a bit.. say 2 days ;p

OP you could probably get 45 minutes at Mandalay Bay. Really depends how far your gates are and how long the security line is

To me it's just not worth the risk. I mean I get that your girl hasnt been there or whatever but it's like what are u gonna do go all the way out to the strip go oh look a casino and turn around? It's just not worth it never mind the fact u could easily get fucked over pretty bad if u miss a step or anything happens getting back.

You'll have time.  The flights out of vegas run late.  They are used to drunk people running to catch a flight.  Last time through we didn't have long but we ate smoked a joint in the casino left the casino at the time they started to board the plane.  We ran through the airport when security sees you running up to them they open the side gate and let ya through lol...  we still sat on the runway 20-30 min.  Ya only live once do what you want.  If you miss the flight fuck it.  You'll remember that day.

I also remember seeing a Tram at the airport that goes to the Hotels. Is it there or was that LAX?
