Gnats. Shoebox soak with peroxide?

I've had good success with shoeboxes over the last little while, but recently have begun getting (what I presume to be) fungus gnats in later flushes.

I've used fly tape, I've tossed shoeboxes, but my most recent batch is now seeing gnats on the first flush. They don't (seem to) do anything, they don't ruin harvest, but they're just nasty and a PITA. When I chuck the shoebox/sub, they're disappeared immediately.

Anyway, I wasn't able to find anything direct on the issue. Generally, I soak a shoebox in plain water overnight after picking a flush. Could I add 1:10 (or 1:4 or other ratio) H2O2/Water in my soak, in an attempt to fight the gnats, without either damaging the future flushed or making the fruits unhealthy or inedible?

Put a few drops of peppermint essential oil on a cotton ball and place them around your tub area (not inside). Might repel them. Works for other gnats.

Peroxide has zero place in mycology.

Yeah B, I'm new and thought peroxide was kinda strange to use over 91% alcohol.
