Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Childern 8/10
I really enjoyed this movie. So creative and strange. One of the strangest movies Ive ever seen. A mind trip for sure. Also darker than I was expecting. Great movie overall.

Yeah. Read the book as well. Burton had some creative freedom. Dumbo, not a chance in hell. Imagination I like it. When it has something to it and not trivial shit.
A horror throw away movie when fucked up. Try to not laugh when fucked up. The last third sucked IMO but laughing through most of it. Was much fun. Altered consciousness. The lighting and sound really fucks with ones mind. Red is mad, blue is happy.
Doesn't beat the clown one where the guy puts on a old clown suit and can't take it off from some carney from an antique store or something and has to go to work and such. But this one will make one laugh if one is in the right mood for it.
Andy yeah, Pink Elephants and this scene, like Burton's idiotic studio controlled remake of Planet of the Apes, the first one, he said he would rather die then do another one, but he got his massive paycheck.
The original Dumbo is authenic, one of my favorite scenes,

I bet the book is a trip! It definitely had that novel feel to it in the movie.

IMO those are the best when based on a novel. It goes deeper usually. I really enjoyed the movie. Small budget, but freedom artistically. Didn't surprise me at all that Burton was drawn to it. Doesn't mean he is a greedy asshole at times, but he still gets his quirks made into a film at times.
Going to see US today. Peele. Wil have been up all night and fucked up and so forth going in. Rating system for that but word of mouth works just fine. Great thing about seeing a movie sometimes I am the only one in there at a noon or 1 showing. Nobody cares.
Reminds me seeing a 7 thirty with my brother and dad long ago. We smoked so much right before and I remember the guilt trip someone was trying to give me sitting behind us. I remember more the music and even though the story wasn't great, I got New York City having visited there before with my father.
Kind of made me laugh. The pettiness. Onward and forward. Excuse me sir! Is that the worst fear that might happen? Shame, guilt, naw. Nowadays it would just be a fuck off behind me if I smell like weed.

Ant-Man and Wasp... I wasn't expecting much and I didn't really get much out of it. Probably a 5/10. I did enjoy the Stan Lee cameo.
I did watch captain marvel and Avengers: Infinity War. Those two movies impressed me more than I thought they would have. I'd give Captian marvel a 6/10, Infinity war a 7/10.

Spider-Man -. Into the Spiderverse
10/10
An animated movie where basically a kid in the hood becomes Spider-Man.
Great story, excellent animation and a very unique and different Spider-Man movie.
Mutafukaz
11/10
An excellent animated movie starting Vince Staples about two kids in the ghetto where one kid starts to have hallucinations after an accident and realize they are being chased down by "men in Black" and then there are aliens and shit and then it covers a lot of real shit about our society, mind control and so much more.
I was on like 7 hits of L when I watched it so I don't recall everything but shit was dope.
Love, Death and Robots
10/10
I've been on an animation kick.
SciFi mystery, animated short stories.
Almost like if Black mirror was an animated series. And it is the best animation I've ever seen. Some parts I couldn't tell if it was real or animated.
Was also high on acid for that one too

Actually, yes. I do want to see the end...
It is in our local theater on Thursday. I was thinking of going to it. This town doesn't usually get movies in that quickly.

Watching more series now. Movies are so quick.
Fargo season 3. Nothing beats season one with Billy Bob, but this was good. Something about the Coen Brothers and bowling ally's like it is some esoteric thing. The Coen brothers universe, like Stephen King's is quite interesting.

Shazam! 9/10
This movie was a lot of fun. Loved the mystical/magic aspect. Felt like a superhero movie for sure, with a nice dose of comedy. Some of it was a little corny but overall it was great. I would watch it again

Enter the void 6/10. Lol.
Seriously, watched The Sisters Brothers. Sometimes actors get bored and don't care about a 10 million dollar role. Though I hear Avengers endgame is the end of all.
