Their digestion help break down the tough outer cellular structure and helps the single cell to access the crap and germinate...as far as I understand it.

Http://www.scholar.google.com is always a good place to start.
Not being sarcastic, a lot of people don't know about it.

Wait, is Pasty recommending we get a bunch of cows really, really high? Hmmm...

I live on an alps breed cow farm so that would work out pretty well can I feed cubensis spores? I don’t want my cows starting a festival and getting wasted all the time. Also would they eat the field mushrooms? I have a lot of calves hahahah

Plus five for creativity man. Even though it won't work how you wished it would, you're still spreading magic spores around and they are bound to be eaten at some point. I'm tripping a bit right now but I'm still proud of you.

Nice scientific article, explains how cows mainly digest spores on foliage, and it germinates as it passes through and grows and fruits on the paddy once it’s a ripe age. That age I don’t know I was under the impression mushrooms liked broken down dung.
Another way is spores from a fruit infect what I would assume to be older dung, and a still beneficial way are arthropods but this is not one of the main contributors.

Bees would probably have a better chance lol. Although dropping the spores in a water trough is the best for sure.
