introducing the Burro's fly tek, the evil genius way to inoculate the neighborhood.
materials needed; 1. flies b. a jar with lid ring 3. screen mesh, i used window screen 4. mushrooms 7. a neighborhood
procedure; 1. place the flies in your jar with a few mushrooms that you let go to long and spored on themselves. 1.1. use screen in place of lid and hold it on with the lid ring 3. place sporulating cap on top of the screen so it drops spores on flies. 4. the following day release your fly minions to land on poo, spread spores and do your evil bidding!

Pretty cool, might stick to bees even better, especially those big bumble bees they’re always hanging out by mulch. I think there’s a type of bee that has Psychedelic honey, not sure if they get it from mushrooms or something else.
I’m sure soccer moms would label you a bio terrorist in 5 seconds

Worst case scenario, you've terribly inconvenienced a few flys.

I’ve heard about the bees too I believe they were in Peru and it was because they we’re pollinating psychedelic plants! Too cool

Coprophilous fungi do not reproduce via spores landing on the manure. They need to be ingested by said animal and pass through the digestive tract. A fly covered in spores landing on a crap is not going to result in mushrooms growing.

That would probably work a lot better than fly wrangling.

So, I need to eat some sporulated specimens and take some dumps around the hood?

I really like the way you think OP. Perhaps it'd be better suited to a woodlover or something. Pick a bug thats fond of sodden wood. Maybe woodlouse , slugs, I know its wacky I'm just spitballin, ideas are fun

Oh is this known fact now? I hadn't heard. Thought it was just ancient speculation. That's cool that thats how it works.

Flies would work perfect for fungi in the family Phallaceae since insects are a big part of how they spread their spores in nature. Also the fact that Coprophilous fungi need the spores to be ingested by an animal is nothing new.
