A2g?
    #25944227 - 04/19/19 05:47 PM (5 years, 8 months ago)

On 4/7 I nocced up some grain with a bunk lc that I made from agar that I later found out had sporulating mold/bacteria on it and lost 20 f’n jars!!!! Reasons for patience I guess. But now all I have is 4 agar plates fully colonized. So I guess my question to you is will 4 plates inoculate 20 jars successfully? And are these plates healthy enough for grain? Thanks guys much love!!

I would be a little worried to put that to grain .. I wish I saw this when you posted sorry I would have told you to do another transfer then .. I would take the smallest transfer you can from the first ones leading edge on the right by your ring finger..

You will more then likely get more bad jars from those

I feel your frustration dude.
But yeah them plates look hoaky af. I wud totally try to transfer away from all the uneven crazyness going on there. Almost looks like you have mycelium from a stray fungus spore in there with cubensis myc on a couple of them dishes. May have to revaluate your sterile process.

Yeah don't put that to grain.

Keep transferring.

Well that’s a total let down first the jars now this hahaha. Idk what is wrong with my sterile tek but that’s obviously the cause. I do my best to follow it to a t. What makes you say that there is a different fungal spore in there? For the future of course.

I wouldn't take a transfer from that close to the edge of a plate. Go towards the center a little more.

I'd rather get that spot you circled then any where else that looks nice .. he is right you usually dont wanna go close to the edge but in your case I'd say go for it cause that looks the healthiest

I get more stray fungus in my plates than any other contamn.
Stray mycelium can almost look like really fuzzy cube myc but ive seen too many and i knw better.

Im not saying for sure that is wat it is or anything. But them plates look all kindsa fucked.

So frustrating i knw. But the process to see shrooms again is relatively quick. Jst concentrate on making like 30 really clean plates, then dump like two whole pucks in each qt of spawn. That shit'll be colonized in like 5 days. On to bulk for a week, then another to see fruit. Pretty quick.
