Dear friends, read up on a few wbs teks and decided totake the leap from pf tek cakes today. I did Foo mans wbs method and waited 6 or 7 hours after pcooking abd inoculated. My jar looked like this, I strained until hardly any water and even waited 40 mins before putting the wbs intothe jarand I know as the pressure changes the moisture will condensate in thejarbut just wanted to check with you sensei's. Thanks!

Also if it is too much moisture? Can you shake it up a few days later to help it? (Apologies for being a noob 😂🙏)

Yeah it definitely looks wet, normally I shake my grain jars after i pull them out of the pc to distribute the moisture. Honestly those are really wet but u can try to shake it and see if it does anything.

Yeah too wet unfortunately. If you have enough agar I would just try grow in the jars anyway, but it will almost certainly go bacterial. Then you could try to fruit them out of the jar.

They'll only go bacterial if bacteria is in there. Bacteria doesn't spontaneously generate from wet grain

i personally do not like that prep. wbs comes in random sizes and when you try to strain, the small seeds easily create pockets were water gets trapped. and heat+wbs=fucked.
you almost always need to spread the wbs out and let it steam dry from the water boil. but thats a pain in the ass. wbs is messy.
just do a solid overnight soak of the seed. 12-18hrs is fine. you can strain like you normally would and load slightly wet.
the jars will turn out perfect.
