I'm getting around to it too. I dropped the ball. I'd like a nice wine cap patch, and a wood lover.

Little harvesting, little drying, some printing, cool pic, and a little bit of smoked orange bourbon glazed turkey. Happy easter.

Harvested today. Biggest cluster yet. Had to flip a shoebox that got too dry. I still have plenty to go but with the Teks I have learned from here I am having success.

Here's an update on my outdoor hybrid box. About 24 days ago I spawned 4qts of KS to some coir and let it cook in the garage.(left it for a couple days too long IMO)
Quote:
mushroomnate said: So I just put the last of my KS spawn to rest. Went with an outdoor hybrid type grow. Gonna colonize this inside my garage, and put it outdoors(with a screen for pest protection) to fruit. Went heavy on the top layer to help with the surface moisture.

Peeked in and pins everywhere,so attached the pest protector(tm ),and set the box on a table in a nice spot in the yard.
I'm hoping the screen will help with humidity, but I had planned to top the screen with wet straw to help hold moisture thru the hotter days. Any suggestions welcome.

IME straw is a contam magnet less you lime pasteurize it. Might just be more worth it to double up your screen or even selectively add plastic to most of it and leave some spots open

I'm not worried about contamination at this point. The straw I have is clean and will only be going on top of the screen on hotter dry days.
