Can anyone help me understand bulk growing?

Icurrently have 5 half quarts of popcorn spawn colonizing and really want to do a bulk grow once it’s done. If anyone can provide me with info and or tips on how to get this done, I would greatly appreciate. Thanks

Your spawn and a Coir Tek, then decide shoeboxes or monotubs. Read everything in the link above. Then read it again.

Thank you. I think I read this one earlier but for some reason I understood it this time!! Thank you everyone!! Just a few specific questions here...

1)What casing ratio do you guys use?

2)How many quarts of spawn should I use for one tub?

3)Following the tek above (leaving the lid flipped over) does that mean I don’t need holes in the tub??

Generally none or 1/4 inch of coir.

What size tub?

Yeahhh. I’d just seen a lot of pictures of the popcorn and it looked pretty so I decided to try it. Only used the brf before that. Popcorns working well this far!

Grow stores. You want a small t5 florescent grow light basically. Something that makes as close to daylight spectrum as possible. You can find ones that work for regular screw in type lights as well but thyre a bit harder to come by. 5000k will work too but 6500k is best

That's not what you want. I've been at it 16 years. 5000-6500K is what you want. Traditional flourescent tubes/ballasts are expensive, cost more to run (still not expensive but why waste money) and are just more than you need. A CFL or LED bulb in whatever fixture will work with them is fine. You can get "Daylight" bulbs at Walmart. The LEDs tend to be around 5000K and if you can find the CFLs you can get 6500K.

Along with a clip light it'll run you about $15 and that's all you need for a small stack of tubs. It scales up extremely well once you get to the point you need shelves. The clip lights are perfect to clip onto the shelves wherever you need it.

Any light will do, but what you bought probably isn't right. We don't use grow lights. Why would you buy that after we explained what you need?
