Last night we birthed our cakes and transferred them to the fruiting chamber ... This is directly after...

Should dunk and roll the cakes in vermiculite to provide a microclimate for pins. And put them in a fruiting chamber that works

Do you think they will do okay without? Reason I ask is because we used wayyyyy too much spore solution when we inoculated them and didn't want to introduce too much more moisture.

It won't fuck up moisture at this point. It's already colonized

2-10 hours is fine. Some say overnight but someone did a test and iirc they found not really any gain after a few hours.

What's the blue pipe doing? Fae or mist?? I like experimenting with different methods for FCs see if somethings worth incorporating

Will help them make pins in the first place. And more of them than naked cakes would.

Also that contraption fruiting chamber is a hurdle ever noob seems to have to go through.

No rinse em off before you dunk to wash off any dust

I present my alternatives to automated contraption fruiting Chambers that are not that automated and Don't work well

This is popular these days. Less work than brushing your teeth or pooping at home once a day to mist cakes gently

This is how i fruit cakes without a fruiting chamber at all.
Mist em once every day to every other day, as needed not a schedule. Low maintenance. Easier than brushing teeth. Or feeding goldfish.

And finally the sgfc

All three are going to do better. And be less prone to contamination because they get more air flow and provide their own humidity
