Anyone know of dosage calculations of p.weraroa? I've got 27g of fresh weraroas and am wanting to play it safe for me and a mate to get to level 1 -2 (first time) Can anyone point to a dosage calculator or let me know how many g's we should be having? Can't seem to find any solid research. Apologies for no pic and probably not the right place for this post..

If they were p.sub that would be a level 3 for 1 person.
I doubt the are as strong as p.sub (non-professional arsumption), so between 2 you should be fine.

Found today in north Auckland, only a few pins at the moment. They were found in a shaded gully near a stream.

Don't mind me butting in, but found these last year: and had them id: as p.makarorae? ..defintly bluing. but alot more mature, could be a different sub species, very cream coloured, but staining blue. and has that classic nipple on top. hoping to find the same this year
Yes, that is the same species, it's almost certainly not P. makarorae

With weraroa, to find them do you tend to walk along on paths looking only, or gently turn over piles of leaves they might be in, or go bush aiming for specific things (like downed logs or whatever)?
I've started looking out for them because I do loads of trail running in the greater Wellington region, but have never seen one. Is it not really wet enough yet?

Christchurch season has begun, the few bark patches near my house have 20+ pins so will be going back to collect the rest once they have developed some more. Collected about 35 grams wet today. (First season finding magic mushrooms!)
Photos of a few of many pins and the collection!

I’d like to know this info also.
Inski’s signature shows what looks like a tree fern, wheki or ponga? People here seem to have found them earlier than other species, and I get the impression that they require ‘uncovering’. . .
As for wellington . . . Check earlier in the thread. Tasty treats

This beautiful species is just simply fucking awesome.
Hope that perhaps this year we can find out what exactly this fairly potent Psilocybe sp. is other than the typical responses of - "Not P. makarorae" or "Suspected P. angluospora"
People could still have the species in question confused with P. makarorae because inski used to automatic ID this species as "P. makarorae" until just fairly recently. Another note of confusion is that when people think about or see those stereotypical highly distinctive bell shaped caps they automatic assume P. makarorae just because of the information that circulates.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Psilocybe_makarorae The wiki page for P. makarorae also depicts images of the suspected P. angluospora.
I agree that there is much confusion about this one, more data needs to be collected in to figure it out, until then it should be called unidentified Psilocybe.
Edit: if anyone would like to send me 2-3 dried specimens or dried gills or a spore print, I would like to participate in the study of this one. Send me a PM for shipping instructions. I will pay for DNA sequencing and perform microscopy to document the micro/macro morphology.

Can you clarify what "fairly potent" means. What would be a dosage equivalent for example? Tampanensis?
