sclerotia ATL #7 not finishing colonizing jars
    #25945807 - 04/20/19 02:14 PM (5 years, 8 months ago)

Hello, i have 2 jars out of a family of 6 jars all inoculated with multi-spore syringe. these two jars haven't finished colonizing but all of the other ones finished colonizing about possibly 3 or more weeks ago they've all been growing since march 3. are these things contaminated?

Sometimes it takes longer to fully colonize. I'm growing the same species right now. I used ryegrass seed and I regret using it. It works but it's hard to get the moisture to the correct level so I would definitely stick with ryeberries. I've had jars take a few weeks and others take a couple months. It all depends on the genetics and your grain.

Yeah that's what I would do. I always shake my jar  when its around 40% done. It definitely speeds everything up..
