Fibrous Myc = Bacteria?
    #25944846 - 04/20/19 12:07 AM (5 years, 8 months ago)

Is this jar bacterial? Is that what this fibrous myc cluster means? It’s one of five. This didn’t happen in the master jar. Posted this in contamination forum as well. Hope that’s ok. Just thought I’d get a quicker response here.

I would say a little bit of bacteria, but not much.. you can shake it and see if it recover in 24-48h.. if i have 100% jar looking weird i shake it and then loosen the lid (but don't remove it) and sniff under, there i m looking for clean mushroom smell if that is checked then i m waiting for 36h and see if they recover(screw lid back on ofc after smell test).. if there is some grains pressed against jar looking wet or metabollites before 100% you can be sure there is some bacteria.. its cool for spawning in mini monos, you will get some for sure out of those..but not for g2g or big mono ime

Also did you use clean agar for inoculation or ma syringe.. if you used syringe this is great jar

Thanks for the odor advice! I used very clean agar on the master jar. These 5 guys were g2g’ed from that. Appreciate the reply!
