What is this stuff?
    #25944565 - 04/19/19 09:07 PM (5 years, 8 months ago)

Everything is in clear shoe boxes, and the spawn looks great along the sides and underneath.  I am not using a casing because the humidity is kept at 99% in a portable greenhouse.  Temp has been at a consistent 75-77 F.  Rye berries sterilized in my own autoclave.  No bad smell at all.  Have had no problem with mold or trich up to this point.

Looks like an old man shaved his balls over your spawn. Whatever it is, it’s not good.

Where’s your substrate?

Haha!  Just some coarse perlite on the bottom with hydrated rye berries on top.

Damn.  No trich this time but now this shit.  Too bad.  You think it's the humidity?  I don't think I have a bacteria problem because the temps have been low.

Not a big deal.  It appeared when I raised the humidity to 99%.  It had been at around 80% for weeks and no problem.  Have done tons of reading, including a book and on here.  Testing parameters.

the grains have to be kept inside the jar or bag until colonized. otherwise you grow mold like you are now.

and ya. do some reading.

Did you skip a few chapters?

Just pick a tek on here. I personally use bods tek library. Read thru it and figure out what works best for you. It won't be this though.
