Help with year old stored

So I had a bunch of successful grows about a year ago, I drive them all out and they were all saltine cracker crunchy. They've all provided really great experiences along the way. It's been about 3 months and I went to open up some of the bags (they are all stored in different ziplock bags by each grow). Almost all of them have gotten soft... They will bend. Is this normal after a year? Are they still good? My thought was to put them back on the dehydrator... But I'm not sure.

You need a desiccant to keep moisture from forming when the room temperature fluctuates.

Throw them back in the dehydrator. They most probably are still fine but have lost some potency, i can't guarantee anything because i have no clue how long they've been wet, what temperature they are stored at, how much uv light gets to them... blah blah blah. Even if i did know all that i wouldn't be able to tell you exactly. Honestly, the only thing to do is re dry them and then store them properly. You'll have to test a little just to see how active they still are.
What kind of ziplocks were they in. The thicker "storage" ziplocks are what you want. Vacuum sealing is really the best for long term storage but anything that actually seals (typical ziplock "sandwich" bags do not) will work. Mason jars are fine but take up more space than vacuum sealed bags.

Sandwich bags are terrible for keeping dried stuff, try mason jars

I've had all of my dried fruits stored in a place that gets very hot in summer and very cold in winter for around 5 years and have found that multi-bagging preserves them perfectly whereas when I have them in only a single bag I also find they go soft rather quickly. Although it just occurred to me that all of the bags are inside a sealed bucket, maybe that plays a major part in it more layers never hurt anybody.
I've also re-dehydrated a lot of shrooms due to this problem and never realizing that plastic bags can somehow still absorb moisture through them. The mushrooms still do great in the potency department after going through this even a couple times, even after staying soft for many months at a time probably. We're talking shrooms 5+ years old being stored in extreme temperatures and dehydrated multiple times that're still bomb, it seriously impresses me and leads me to believe based on my experience that some are over cautious of potency loss, but I'm getting off topic.
Not here to contradict anybody, I'm just posting my experience.

Good to know. I've never tested the limits of poor storage. I just vacuum seal everything.

Thanks so much guys... That's what I was hoping for. They still smell and look great, and probably 60% are still cracker dry... On the dehydrator now.
