Can you tell me how is this possible ? This is third box within 3 months and i get the same mold. It is cococoir, spent coffee grounds, whole oats myc., and HYDRATED LIME. I use a lot of disinfectants and I really care about the sterile environment all the tíme. I'd like to know what could makes this mold. I've always noticed this mold when I take off aluminium foil after ten days when it was mixed into the box.

After 2 days:

Sorry for my englis.

I suggest do not use coffee, just coco coir alone works better because it's hard for contaminants to grow in.

The coffee doesn’t help, only gives mold something to get going on. Make sure you’ve got good spawn too. Trich is pretty much everywhere, and if you have good healthy fungus it will keep that shit from getting a leg up on the grains. The tin foil might not be helping either if your using monotubs. But in those pics that stuff got way out of hand and now you’ve got a huge spore load around, so you might want to burn all those totes or something. I might be wrong, but the more trich spores around the more trich will be coming up.

Thanks for replies. So I should burn it and clean everything in room and don't use that box again ? Or maybe burn the whole room with everything in there.

Jesus Christ no please do not burn your place down. You can toss out all the mold then wash them with warm soapy water. To be extra safe I would then wash with vinegar, let air dry then finally hydrogen peroxide to try and get the plastic bins as sterile as possible without the use of fire.

I'd love to burn it down all because it made me very angry, 3 months of work and 50$ for nothing. Thanks for advice.
