Pe cake blobs starting in jar

I birthed four Pe BRF Jars today and I could see what looked like tiny blobs starting on three of the cakes. My question is, can I still roll in verm? Or should I lightly sprinkle verm around them like I would normal pins? And the blobs will survive the dunk procedure right?

Also,, I’m reading more about pe now and I came across a thread where someone said crumbling pe cakes to bulk is a better decision than fruiting as cakes. Can anybody give me info on that as well??

You have info to spawning BRF cakes in one of the link's in my signature. If you inoculated your cakes with spore syringe I'd recommend another link in my sig that's called Humidity Chamber. I'm sure you could also spawn a few and fruit a few as cakes gl

Yeah, I agree... Do both. It's fun that way, and you'll get way better yeild from from a bulk grow over cakes.

Thanks my dude! I have already read all the links in your signature. But I was reading that pe works better in bulk. Maybe I’ll crumble two and fruit the other two as cakes. I’m going to re read your sig links today, I’m sure I missed something. Thanks again

Spawning healthy cakes vs fruiting them in SGFC as a beginner will usually net you more magic as spawned. But as for cakes made from sporesolution I'd say that the HC is the quickest and safest route to fruits

What about the roll? Like should I sprinkle of the verm on as I would normally do with pins that started in the jar? Or can I just roll them like normal?

Just roll them as 'normal' (my 'normal' is dipping them in a bowl of verm, burying them and then 'pressing' the verm into the cake, not mishandling the cakes but not being nearly as gentle as you'd imagine. Make it stick! Then don't mist the first time until at least 24h has passed and then mist from a distance thats not gonna create turbulence and knock it off before myc grabs it.

cool sounds good. I really like the hc idea. I may just do that because I grew some pe out on agar and inoculated rye grains with it yesterday. Plenty of bulk to come. Plus I need more practice with cakes as far as misting. I got some shrooms way to wet a couple times. I love the tubs because I very rarely have to mist if any at all. I’m really excited to see the peens!

One more question Mateah... no holes in the hc? I didn’t see any in the pic and it didn’t mention any in the thread I don’t think..

Hmm I'll have to revise the HC write up and make it more understandable. But yeah any type of container or tub (unmodified) with something wet inside is technically a HC

Ok so I’m pretty sure they were blobs on the cakes when I birthed them,, I didn’t take a pic because they were so small but they looked like mushroom flesh but not shaped like a pin.. anyway! Maybe I messed up and didn’t wait long enough after they were fully colonized (I waited a week after full but I wasn’t thinking about it being penis envy and maybe I should’ve waited longer to birth them). Can anyone give me advice on what the peen’s are up to?

I don't have much experience growing PE on BRF but a couple pints I had in January actually put out mostly normal looking fruits. There 2 blobs and even the blobs didn't look as mutant as the blobs I get from PE on grain to coir
