Trich? Light blue sub...
    #25935468 - 04/15/19 05:51 AM (4 years, 11 months ago)

I don't see any green..just a very light blue. No odd odors. It seems to be spreading but no abnormal growth. It looks like mycelium at this point so I am not sure if it is bruised from overmisting, being dry, lack of fae.... I need some opinions from more experienced growers. Thank you in advance.

Looks like bruising from being dry, if you put small tubs directly into fruiting you need to mist them once in a while as they dry out quickly

I have been misting alot, I thought I have been misting too much and am afraid of aborts due to it..but it is drying quick so...idk. I wanted an opinion before going overboard on the mist. Thank you.

Personally I find it's better to tape the holes up until 100% colonisation, then it stays perfect until its ready to fruit..But yes mist when it needs it, adjust you holes to restrict air if its drying too fast, put two layers of micropore on

Yes over misting will cause a bruised matted surface and aborts

More specifically, rehydrating a dried matted surface will cause bruising. Over misting by itself causes puddles and metabolites galore. It's the act of getting too dry and then re-hydrating is what causes bruising. Misting to maintain a happy surface is definitely harder than it sounds. Gotta keep shit in a Goldilocks zone.

@OP, you need to keep things glistening but with no pooling water. If there's too much fae for you to keep up with misting, you need to restrict your fae some.
