Yes but In Wiping it with iso you’re actually reducing how sterile it is. (According to sterile procedure)

. I print them on foil that's been iso'd and left to dry sterile.  I wouldn't blow any air on them as you want the spores to drop straight down to the foil.  Drying print sheets afterwards you could use airflow I suppose but they do fine in the SAB overnight as well.

That’s the whole idea of the printing box. Now ideally I’d have a large flow hood but for the time being my martha’s are hepa filtered I have a air purifier running I the room (the air purifier could handle a room over twice its size according to specs) and I spray air disinfectant whenever I open tent. So what I can do is pull the printing tub right in front of the Martha and move prints from one filtered environment to another with almost no exposure to open air. (When you lay foil double it up so you can remove top piece once ready to use and foil underneath is still sterile)

I hear you, but damp sponge wrung out in 99% iso is what I've used for a long time for SABs.  Unless we're talking bacterial endospores that kills anything on the surface at least according to the CDC:

Quote:

In the healthcare setting, “alcohol” refers to two water-soluble chemical compounds—ethyl alcohol and isopropyl alcohol—that have generally underrated germicidal characteristics 482. FDA has not cleared any liquid chemical sterilant or high-level disinfectant with alcohol as the main active ingredient. These alcohols are rapidly bactericidal rather than bacteriostatic against vegetative forms of bacteria; they also are tuberculocidal, fungicidal, and virucidal but do not destroy bacterial spores. Their cidal activity drops sharply when diluted below 50% concentration, and the optimum bactericidal concentration is 60%–90% solutions in water (volume/volume) 483, 484.

Secondly, I thought that aluminium came sterile out of the package? If thats true, why would you wipe it with ISO?

Damn sure isn't after you open it and it's exposed to the air in your home

If you take some off the roll it should be very clean even if unpackaged. Air can't really penetrate between layers.

Yes, I think when it comes straight off the roll, it's pretty much sterile and wiping with iso would just be obsolete and possibly an extra vector for contamination. Just my 2cts

I know, super tease!  the ms plate pinned like crazy so I went to grain with it.  I've been seeing tons of mini fruits when I clone from fruiting dishes.  you just cant tell how big they're gonna be when spawned to a full sized sub

I haven't been able to let out my excitement but i am SO STOKED Y'ALL! Second grow ever, first time on agar, i've got three tubs in fruiting, and two are kicking ass. It's been slow, but the work is paying off. Agar noc'ed with MS on Jan 9th, A2G around Feb 27th (forgot to note actual date), bulked on Mar 23rd, first pin Apr 10th.

Love seeing the weird mutations, obviously have some odd genes in this tub. One growing upside down cap-to-cap, one massive trunk double cap, and one where the cap is growing sideways into the stem, like someone is laying their head sideways on their shoulder. Lol.

My camera sucks a lot of ass, so it's hard to see, but this one has a TON of tiny pins starting. This one is going to be ridic.

Hella looking forward to printing/cloning and isolating!
