No one in the plastics industry will read "PP5" and go ahhhh they're talking about polypropylene. They'll think it's some code. PP stands for polypropylene and the recycling code for that plastic is 5. But only here did they get mashed together. It would be much less confusing to just say PP without the 5

noted it appears he was able to understand what I was saying at least. I haven't got a follow up email yet, but the lids should be same material based on the spec sheet there its like $40 for a case of 250

damn I didnt even check prime, I placed the order for the case of 250 I don't mind pouring a little thicker, is that the only issue you've ran into? and do you opt for the GE hole on the top with MP tape or on the side with MP?

I cant remember why I started to pour with them ? It was either you cant load that many inside the PC or something else I think maybe it was just that .. but when I say alot I mean you're pouring like 1qt of agar to maybe 30 if I remember correctly it's been a few years ..

Hopefully you got some flatter ones ... If you keep them i would try to get the hole on the side as close to the top as I could ...

Made my first tissue transfers to clone some fruits I liked to agar a couple days ago. I see them turning into mycelium! They have probably expanded 3mm or so beyond the tissue. How much growth do you typically need before you can take a transfer? I imagine it’ll be ready in another couple days for the first transfer? I screwed up the agar (inaccurate scale) is there’s low nutrients, but growing they are so must be vigorous!

Can I transfer from this far away corner circled? Or has that mold already dumped everywhere on the plate?

Thanks for that response. I’m going to try to transfer. I want to try a hot pour but I’ve heard that’s mainly for bacteria and won’t stop mold but idk I’ve never tried it before.

Yeah its for bacteria mostly a sandwich will help with mold as well but .. I have done both and sometimes it helps and others not so .. just depends if it got tangled up in the myc ..

look close at these 2 jars ... the first one I'm thinking had something along with it a white mold compared to the other one ... both on wheat different cultures ... but now could under hydrated grain cause the myc to look off as well ?? I dont know If I ever had under hydrated jars and seen the way it affects the growth

Thats a head scratcher boog. I'd spawn that one to a shoebox. Legend that plate will be fine to transfer from

Yeah I could just be over thinking it cause I'm trying to spawn the most cleanest jars ... it's hard to see in the pic but the first jar has a little whispy looking myc growing I need a microscope Haha

yeap ; i think plastic is working good for me , i'm getting some filter discs to cut up , i think it's better than mp right ?
thoughts on how a stripe of pure shiny edge is going on grain ?

a few months ago i posted that my tubs were bacterial , and although they are , no mold showing and still pumping out good fruits , 3rd flush or maybe even more , very uneven flushes , this tub was made on feb 13
