Can I get a second batch if the spawn cake is dried up?
    #25938468 - 04/16/19 05:21 PM (5 years, 8 months ago)

Buddy of mine went out of vacation 2 weeks ago. Wont be back for another 4 days but for sure his medium (grains,HPOO, etc.) Has dried out since his 1st batch was done before he left out of town. Assuming his medium is dried up, when he gets back, can he resoak everything and get the conditions right for the 2md batch. Or did he mis his window? Thanks!

It's not suppose to dry out, something isn't right about his procedures/fruiting setup..

His set up was really good. Ive just never ran into the situation of someone not resoaking thier setup and leaving it for 3 weeks. Inwas just being a curious cat and hypethetically speaking, if substrate was dried out for 2 or 3 weeks. Could it be resoaked and used again. I dont think you can but thats why im asking everyone on here.

Are you serious?

Tell your "friend" to do some reading and if he doesn't have time to grow mushrooms then maybe he shoudlt. And if he has the time then tell him to follow an up to date proven Tek and to do exactly what the Tek says

Next time post a photo of the substrate instead of a hypothetical assumption that's you're not even sure of
