I did read yours. I was already a bit too deep into my project to modify it to fit your tek (I'd been buying/saving up for parts for a few months when I failed at Pans last). How do you get your fan to only go on for 45 sec/1min? How often does it do that?

Sorry for playing dumb here, do Mary/Asura have tek writeups?

Thanks for the tray info all.

Shaper I ordered a 100 cfm 4" round in line fan from HD because it came with a cord. Bathroom fans were a little more after you buy a cord. Havent decided if im going to filter it yet.

This is the fan I use, it is plenty strong.

https://www.amazon.ca/AC-Infinity-Cooling-Ventilation-Projects/dp/B009OWRMZ6/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=1238+muffin+fan&qid=1555366544&s=gateway&sr=8-1-fkmrnull

I just need a cycle timer now.  It’s working going on for 15 minutes every 90 minutes but dries the pans a bit too much

I would do smaller intervals try 1 min on 3 min off something where your keeping the air moving without keeping your tent super dry for extended periods.

Well after I made that last post I went onto amazon and ordered a new timer . The timer I have is a pin one and 15 minutes is minimum.
When I get it, I’ll program it that way, thanks!

Ok what is everyone working on?!

I am waiting for my 2nd attempt at bisporus to pin. It was due today (10 days). Nothing.

I have 2 bags of Pan Hawaiian growing out and that should be ready to put to trays in 5 days.

Then it's time to clean the FC.

I've been having trouble keeping my spawn good in jars in my fruiting chamber. They're getting dried out and the mycelium really suffers, so I switched from my PID temperature controller to arduino on/off dutycycle control (i set the duty cycle and cycle time)...it should work b/c the ambient temperature is constant. The water in my humidifier reservoir also wouldn't drain to the ultrasonic disk i think b/c the humidifier wasn't level so i put something under it to level it and so far so good.  I think I have the humidity and temperature ok now and fresh air from an aquarium air pump (~7 fresh air exchanges per hr steady air in). I lowered my temps some to 77oF, humidity close to 100%RH. I'm hoping i solved my spawn problems.

I have a shroom supply hpoo sub spawned 3 days ago...the spawn wasn't that great so we'll see how it does. I had another tray with hpoo from my neighbor's horse sun dried and i had added 50g of ground rye in it and it colonized quite well and then didn't fruit; i checked it today and found it had dried out (i had made this one on the dry side...and it dried out). I think i have the sub moisture sorted out now too.

I'm going to be making more spawn soon and more hpoo trays and maybe experimenting with adding rye to help the colonization.

Oh, and i also turned up the cpu fans in my FC to circulate the air better. I have a 0-30V 0-5A power supply powering 2 waterproof cpu fans and changing the voltage changes the fan speed.

Overall, i'm pretty hopeful.

In june i'm going to make a hpoo compost pile and properly compost it.

That's about it for me.

Hey girl. As an electrician I have to say that having a light bulb like it looks like you have there in such high RH is a big No No. You might be fine for years but you might also have a fire, so please put it outside the GH. Im very new also but Im pretty sure they will still get enough light.

Oh and if you can how come you have your RH at around 85-93 and not try for a vi higher? Not nessesary?

i just put some pan cy agar to oats last week. some from a print marked wild, some others from the aussie you gave out. my cultures aren't fast, but they're each about the same and it feels like i been transferring forever. got some hpoo aging in the yard, gearing up for a fight.

i know you're into lc > sterile sub bags. maybe i'll get there one day, depending on how these pan out, pun absolutely intended.

apart from that, wild cubes spawned in shoeboxes testing how long cooked grain jars keep on the shelf, a whole bunch of rw, another galindoi tray just cased, four more jars waiting to spawn, and my first non active medicinal project beginning in some red reishi growing out on agar.  ... shit typing all that out, it's almost like i know what i'm doing. believe me, i don't.

I have Hawaiians going still - but I haven't been able to get them to fruit yet. Its been a steep learning curve. I've been propagating the same myc for months and now I think its starting to age. Its just slowing way down both in LC and after I innoc to the substrate. So I'm starting over with newly germinated myc. Man if you can get your pan-HI to fruit I will be impressed. It has been a real struggle for me. I have a couple other var's on deck if this last run fails.

Almost finished with my gh, just have to get some hose for the humidifier. I based this off Jakes green house. Thank you very much for the tips

Only difference is I put 2 small fans on the lower sides instead of one in the back.

Me? The light bulb is actually my heating element. The lights I have in there are super low energy LEDs, and I doubt they'll be a problem.

So, after doing a bit of looking around I'm looking into this fan with this for a repeat cycle timer. Do these look like sound purchases?
