Those are awesome pinedownpioneer!

Over the past winter I've rescued quite a few of these from waldorf(and other) clearance bins.

I got them into their new summer home over the weekend.

Cool flowers but I think my christmas cactus is confused right now. Returned it to the outside and it wants to flower.

Love the purple prickly pear mushroomnate. Looks like the ones I see in big bend. Santa Rita is what they are called if I remember correctly

Could be. Big sign for Santa Rita is no long spines, only glochids. There are other purple Prickly pears, like Macrocentra.

yea,it's a Santa Rita.(Opuntia gosseliniana)
A gift from a friend out west.
Gonna get these pads good and rooted, and offer one to a neighbor down the road in exchange for a pad of their yellow and/or red flower prickly pear they have growing in the yard.
Opuntia macrocentra is the purple one with long spines I think.(Been wanting to get one)

Macrocentra. Pups have a neat neon look to them. This guy wound up trampled in half by javelina not long after this pic but recovering fine. If you really want one, I can grab the next decent pad I came across.

Some list it as notocactus buiningii others list it as parodia buiningii. I have 2 from different sources. I was hoping they would flower together. However they have not

It must be Notocactus submammullosus (or Parodia submammullosa). A few years ago, a botanist decided there was no reason to keep a number of cacti genera separate, and so merged Notocactus, Wigginsia, Neowerdermannia and Eriocactus (possibly more) under Parodia, the oldest name. More recently, Joël Lodé in his "Taxonomy of the Cactaceae" re-erected a number of these genera - namely Notocactus - based on DNA studies. Whatever name you decide to put on the label, the taxonomic entity is still the same. Think of it as an ID card, the genus as a drawer, the family as a cabinet, the order as a room, etc. It matters little what drawer in what cabinet in what room you put the ID card in, it still relates to the same entity. Hence, Parodia buiningii and Notocactus buiningii are the same thing.
Nice plants, BTW!
