grain jar and tyvek clean up
    #25935471 - 04/15/19 06:01 AM (5 years, 8 months ago)

Hi all

pretty easy question here. How do you folks clean up your jars after you ditch whatever's in them? Just threw away some moldy grain, and am cleaning out the jar and wondering about the tyvek disk I cut out and put in the lid. Should I throw that away and cut another disk? Or does it not matter cos I'm gonna sterlize the jar in the PC for the next grain prep anyway.

Do you guys throw out the tyvek? Do you have any special clean up tek, spells or incantations you use? Am I just worrying 'bout nothing cos this jar will go back in the PC anyway..?

Cheers

Soap and hot water in a bucket.

Use the search function.

Tyvek is one use.

I don't use tyvek...I use MP tape. I give my jars a quick rinse and maybe hit with a bottle brush. PC takes care of everything else.

On a side note I replace my lids every time. They are cheap and it's actually easier for me than trying to remove the old MP tape.
