I have never tripped but I just have to mention these three songs:
(By the way, these are all from commercials...)
"Reach for the Sun" by The Polyphonic Spree
- The beginning of this song is so fucking beautiful, and it is really trippy. The lead singer is from the band Tripping Daisy and the whole group is made up of about 30 hippies always dressed in white robes. I originally heard this song on an Ipod commercial.
"The Bronze Beached Boys" by Pas/Cal
- This song is very upbeat and quite trippy. I'm pretty sure I heard it from this Saturn commercial where they were advertising the OnStar system or something (Some woman gets followed around by Cops and Firemen and shit like that, I'm sure you've seen it). If you want to download it you can go to the bands site, listen to the entire song, and then click "Back" and go to "Save As..." That is the only way I was able to get it, couldn't find it on Kazaa.
"The Whistle Song" by PJ Olsson
- This is from the new Starburst commercial, where these group of people are walking down the street whistling the song. A very nice song, with a lot whistling (if you haven't guessed already).

-------------------- In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion. -Carl Sagan

"Reflection" by Tool is excellent. Of course, I love Tool when I'm sober as well.

How in hell could I ever forget infected mushroom... Amazing while tripping... Gives me funny visuals
As for Nobuo, his and Mitsuda's (Chrono Cross) music are fuckin' amazing while tripping, more so in nature then anywhere else.
Lastly, this goes for people soon to be shrooming in an urban area or just going through an urban area sober, listen to the song "Shiva Space Technology" by Shpongle while doin' so... Maybe it's just me, but it makes me forget I'm in my body; shrooms or no shrooms. You need to be the passenger, by the way

Favorite Song: Guinnevere - absolutely without a doubt. It almost produces visuals by itself.
It happens to be on my favorite trippin' album - Crosby Stills and Nash (the debut album). Can't recommend it high enough. Pick up a copy and you won't be disappointed (except - perhaps - with Marrakesh Express).

almost anything by Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin or Autechre...... the cLOUDDEAD album "Ten" Dark Side of the Moon (of course) the beatles, stereolab, stars of the lid, sigur ros, global goon, plaid.... but the best music to listen to while tripping is iconoclast music (not the stupid rock band, the electronic consortium).....ask me for some!

OOOH yeah, live at Pompeii is the best film to watch when tripping. I definitley fell in love with David Gilmore when watching him play there. They are so mystical and beautiful, esp. when tripping. The best cd: Pink Floyd Meddle, and the best song, echoes....by far. Also ANYTHING by the Dead. Try to see them live when you're tripping too, the best thing in the world. Namaste.
