Are these Grifola frondosas/maitakes? maybe turkey tails?

was out hiking and hunting today and found a few of these that look like maitakes. grabbed a few to try was wondering before i ate them. first time out hunting

the were dry and crisp like potato chips when i found them but turned to a leathery feeling when i ran under water. the white one seems to have more visible pores and the dark ones seem to be soft on the bottom after they got moist.

Not — hens typically grow near the base of oaks and on the east coast it’s late summer/fall - Look for at the base of big oaks in season

Turkey tail for sure.... Just make sure the pores start looking yellow as it dries from bruising
Edit: Yeah I'm pretty positive after noticing the bottom pic. Wait for a trusted identifier
