Hi, I found these today. Would really appreciate some help with ID. I can get a spore print by tomorrow if necessary.
    Habitat: Amongst leaf litter in native forest. Gills: Brown. Stem: Mostly brown, white streaks near base. 0.5 cm < across Cap: lighter around very edge, to brown in the middle, getting darker near the center. Location: Lowlands in Wellington region.

Most likely Cortinarius but possibly Galerina. What trees were near this fruiting?

Can't remember exactly, but it was a bunch of quite tall native trees (Tawa etc), Not super dense, and not a huge amount of scrubby trees/bushes. I'd say there were well over 100 of the mushroom there.
