I would microdose/minidose either. No full doses.

I'd probably take .5-1mg of klonopin at most. You don't wanna be slurring your words. Just enough to make sure your voice isn't shaking and to kill the jelly legs

Keep in mind that mixing Klonopin or Xanax with alcohol is a lethal combination. If one mixes these two drugs regularly, there is a good probability you will die.

Damn good advice. If you know the speech shit like the back of your hand, you can easily get through it. Fumbling notecards will be a thing of the past.

I was thinking about combining just 0.5mg with with 100ml of vodka, maybe just 0.2mg would be a better idea?

If it was me I might go with one beer. Assuming it wasn't something employment related. I used to teach for a living and hated the public speaking aspect, but I would not want to drink before that.

I think it would be better to not rely on the crutch the first time. I think ull be fine dewd. U dont want to develop the habit of needing to rely on booze or pills that wont help you be a good public speaker. After the first one ull become more and more comfortable and confident. but if it's one of those things where u have to do it and u know theres no other way its gonna happen

I agree with this completely.

I can't stand public speaking. I had to give a presentation today, I was so nervous I slept for maybe two hours last night. This morning I was basically feeling derealization I was so anxious. That was after exercising and meditating.

Once I actually got up in front of everyone though, I was pretty much fine. Started off with my voice a little shaky, but once I got a rhythm I killed it.

It was because I knew the material 100%. I practiced at home, and visualized the situation.

It really is better to just be fully prepared and expose yourself to it. Otherwise if you take something, like someone else said you're setting it up to be way harder in the future.

I actually took a two day course on public speaking a few weeks ago

We did videoanalyses, surpise presentations, pitches, the whole deal. Turns out that even though I feel really nervous, I look totally chilled to people in the audience.

That actualy goes for most people.

This knowledge somehow enabled me to let go of the anxiety. My presentations have been tight af since. Or maybe they havent, but at least I dont suffer any stress beforehand anymore

It is actually very normal to feel anxiety and is only considered a problem if it physically limits you to perform

Nothing relaxed me in school the way being PREPARED did.  If you don't know what you're going to say, you're going to be nervous no matter what.

Some rare people can improv a whole speech for sure, but rehersing and practicing a speech days beforehand is the beat way to feel comfortable. Come prepared or prepare to fail.

It's so weird how that works. I had one presentation where I felt nervous and feeble af, and the whole thing felt like it went by in a rushed whirlwind. Afterwards had someone tell me they wish they could be as laid back as me while presenting

I've also seen myself when someone recorded a talk, and it was crazy how little what I felt was reflected in how I looked.

Yup. I feel like the self-perspective is way off compared to how people actually see the speech. Often Ive heard people say "I was so nervous during that speech!" but to my perspective of watching them speak, they only looked mildly nervous.

In middle school I practiced and practiced and practiced this lonnnggggg speech I had to give.  I pretty much blacked out the whole thing and when it was over everyone said "wow that was really good!"  "Dang can't believe you memorized all of that".

I was tunnel vision the whole time and couldn't remember a thing about it.

I went on some job interview about 12 years ago so damn skeeted.
(Do people stay say skeeted?)

It was fucking terrible. I'm one of those people that if I'm on coke, I just can't hide it in any way. Got light green eyes with pupils the size of saucers. Can't stop licking my lips, and the odd facial twitch doesn't hurt. :lol:

I'm just extremely sensitive to uppers of any kind. Maybe not anymore, but I wouldn't know.

I also think it's hilarious that when someone starts a thread here asking for dosage advice, we all hop on their ass like they just committed the most heinous crime ever.

Yet, when someone asks, should I take this?

We all chime in with dosage amounts that have worked for us.

The shroomery dosage loophole is strong, yo!

Propranolol works well for public speaking and keeping your heart rate and the rhythm of your voice in check.  It was a godsend for me.  It can give you the shits but otherwise there are no other side effects.  You can even drink on it without getting weird unlike benzos.
