You're clearly focusing on the wrong question here.
The REAL issue is what causes were interposed between ythan and the Shroomery. I mean, i suppose it involved pushing buttons on a keyboard, etc., but something must have caused ythan to push those buttons, and something must have caused that cause.
Clearly, there are infinately many tiny walruses all around us...

Yes, we are indeed surrounded by all manner of walrusaurucea -- but they are interstitial -- living in the cracks of space and time. Sometimes, if you're on the right drugs, and move your head just right, you can see them -- like the vertical blank interrupt on a television screen.
They are like trillions of tiny nanobots creating things arbitrarily, and ad-hoc, from whatever stray elements happen to be left lying around on the creator's workbench, but they appear do it in an unfocussed, but seemingly effortless, manner...
Perhaps, they are the harbingers of the coming golden age of casual causal causality!
