identifying trichocereus bridgesii * 1
    #25923544 - 04/08/19 05:05 PM (4 years, 10 months ago)

i just posted this in the wrong forum category....oops!!  anyway, recently i purchased a few cactus cuttings.  one of the cuttings is supposedly the psycho0 strain, and the other three are labeled as normal tricho bridgesii.

the image with the single mid cutting is the (alleged) psycho0 strain, and the other two photos with the three tip cuttings are supposed to be normal t. bridgesii.

does anyone know if they are the type they claim to be, based on appearance?  i’m still learning how to identify and any input is appreciated.

either way i will still root and grow them, but it would be nice to know exactly what type they are.

They all look like bridgesii to me.

The main difference to pachanoi or other trichos is the diameter and the distance between areoles. Bridgesii grows a lot thiner than pachanoi, and the areoles are wider apart.

Look at images from google, for reference. Bridgesii is usually easy to identify.

The spines seem to be cut off, for shipping. Bridgesii has very long spines, way longer than pachanoi or peruvianus.
