Calcium Chloride, any dessicating properties?
    #2592175 - 04/22/04 08:55 PM (12 years, 10 months ago)

I dont know why, but I feel like someone told me that Damp Rid is just calcium chloride. I dont think this is the case, but it couldnt hurt to ask. Does calcium chloride function as a dessicant?

Yes. DampRid and all those other desiccants are just Calcium Chloride. So is most driveway salt.

Maybe not. I only tried some Prestone stuff and it worked very well.
