Ah, that side of grain prep. Well, I jam 9 bags with 4 full quarts each (36 full quarts or 45 "myco quarts") and cook at pressure for three hours (4 if i'm not in a hurry). So... yeah prepping grain, bagging it and cooking it is definitely an afternoons work with the cooker running into the night.

I just ordered another 23qt do that puts me at 4 I will be able to do 100 qts of grain in 5 hours for jars .. but I dont seal my bags so I only usually was doing 12 bags a day now will be 16

Two 23q prestos and a 25x i could do 60 jars a day two runs on each but its an entire more than 8 hour day. Even doing 3 runs staggered an hour apart is a long day

I've left it open for a couple hours here and there but i want to let the grain recover before i start really airing her out


Don't mind the difference in color on the last two tubs. The sun just went behind the neighbors house and really changed the lighting. I'll take better photos when things get more interesting. This is just a quick update. Nothing too exciting but seems like everything is doing fine.

Here they are.
Looks like the more poo the faster they colonize.
We'll see if it makes a difference in the end.
I adjusted the grow lights this time to make the photos more accurate for comparison purposes.

So, the pictures are from yesterday with the exception of Tub G. She's sittin on another shelf with the lid off about half the time. I forgot to include her in yesterdays photo op. Her pic is from today.









So, First thing to note, for all you non mutant cube growers. This culture typically puts out a pin or three before the load comes in. Obvioulsy, hell could freeze over and the one round of tubs i decide to put on blast could all eat shit and make an ass out of me... BUT.... I say we're gonna do fine. All and all it seems the coir is first to pin but I'm not really to impressed by that. So, We're still in limbo. Feel free to let me know what you think.

Good point, I'll fix that. Thanks.

It's the result of a PESA jar and a PE jar going into the same tub. The results were a fairly PE looking cube that doesn't blob (much), has incredible potency, has solid stipes and is a tad slower than standard non mutant cubes. It was cloned and grown again and spores were taken from the best looking pheno. Those spores where grown out and the best looking pheno was cloned. This is that clone.



Obviously, we still have a lot of genetic variation going on. It's a fun culture.

Welcome aboard friends. Honestly, grows that i put on blast make me nervous. I guess i'm still kind of immature in some ways. When no one is watching i spawn some tubs and walk away. Come back and harvest. But when i open them up to take pics i start looking closely, tweeking the poly, soaking up water pools, misting, moving tubs around and breaking the subs.... You know. Too much fucking around. These things grow themselves if you let them. Oh well, it's fun to watch closely sometimes.

Not only is it fun, but messing around with them can also remind you that set-and-forget is the best way to grow. Or it can lead to improved techniques! The fun is in the experiment at this point :heart: Thanks for all your work.

If I wanted just a shroom trip I'd just go with a big tub once a year and I'd have for the whole year hehe
I think the best part is precisely to watch close and see how it happens, at each stage. Wonderful work, hope to see how this goes!
