where should i look for cyans on my area. i live in the PNW. specifically on the north coast.
do i have to go a conifer forest, i heard they grow on mulched alder beds. it doesnt seem like its the right enviorment to see them growing on mulch beds. from my under understading the they grow around human confornatation i.e disturbed areas. some data would be appriciated, for any active species that may be in my area.
The enviorment is a rainforest theres alot of humidity. im not sure if there is conifers here, i.also heard they often grow under Rhododendron  plants.

Thanks guys

Just FYI - conifer just means any tree with cones and needles/scales rather than leaves, so firs, pines, cedars, spruce, larch, redwood etc. More of the trees around here are conifers than not...

Disclaimer - I'm just a hobbyist and cannot absolutely guarantee any ID offered. I'm most familiar with the species found in the Pacific Northwest - those found in other parts of the world may vary considerably, so always do your own research to find out what grows in your area and what lookalikes you need to be aware of. Understand that many mushroom species cannot be 100% reliably identified by photographs alone, even by an expert, so it may not be possible to go beyond suggesting a probable genus.

Man, I'm not trying to be the thread police here -not this year, anyway- but you might benefit from a better understanding of your general environment, and the things you are foraging within it , before you set out to do so. Not only will you gain something from knowing what you are doing, but the environment and the mushrooms themselves will also have a better chance to thrive beyond your hunt, and other hunters will also appreciate it. I only say this because you seem to lack knowledge of the place in which you live, and having at least a grasp of what a conifer  is seems to be a general baseline that a naturalist-which any forager should be by nature-should possess.

If you just want to get high, then buy cultivated mushrooms, I'm sure there is a community college in your area.

Also, this is not a question thread.

well i didnt know what class of trees conifers were. i did a long hike today ate two bananahands a sun dried gym. i now understand what lignin rich soil is and am begging to understand eviorment. im more intersted in studying data about cyanescens eniormet, and micro climates. i forge and take cares of our mother earth. i pick up trash at the beach. i had to water my gym patch today though, it's been so dry lately. i think getting high would be appropriate for some people, even though each person can use psilocybe as they want. i like to restorate have projects. Not to mention i just moved herw to washington but have formerly picked and found my own azies.
