thick mycelium. looking OK? (trays)

Hi shroomery. So i have this trays that are showing some think mycelium. They dont look like any tub iv ever had. Smell is awsome. And looks health. But looks very thick. Today is one week from spawning. It's from a mazatapec MS serynge to pop corn.

This time I used a diferent recipe when prepping the substrate. It was 1brik coir/2 quarts verm/1 quart straw/gypsum on the bucket tek. But when I boiled the water to trow on the bucket I Made like a soup with 2 table spoons of BRF/2 tablespoons honey/2 table spoons beer yeast/ 2 table spoons of potato flakes/2 table spoons of aveia. Also 3 multiple vitamin pills.. 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Ya I'm starting to regret the experiment. But does it look good to you? I'm sure it smells good but I'm a bit afraid it might but hard to get it to fruit.
This is how they look from the side. Tho ones I didn't use a liner. If I were to case. Should it be now?

No, u would want to wait till the surface is fully colonized before u case it. But, why do u want to case it? Cubes don't really need a casing, unless it's one of the PE.. Just let nature take its course

About casing it's just that iv read that one should case at 90%. I'm not sure about casing it's just that it looks so think it dosent look like it can crate a microclimate for pinning. But I don't know that's why I ask.
Thanks

I believe standard practice is to case at full colonization.
Like homie was saying, unless its PE, most cubes dont need a casing. However, i have tried both and it seems that a casing really helps to maintain surface microclimate and it makes it very easy to judge when it needs a misting.

Ayyyyy I read one of ur open air write ups yesterday and I'm trying it! 4 qts of rw with almost a brick of coir in a big flower pot. Should be interesting to say the least. Cased it too for good measure.

I really only wrote that to show the difference between humidity and surface conditions but awesome!

Hello.everyone
Look at this.. i just want to eat that mycelium... Looks like blobs but it's just thick ass mycelium. This are mazatapec. That's a medium box I used.

This is 2 small boxes.

And just to update it's was not the mix of stuff I used in there with the coir that caused it to go this crazy. It's just some genetic anomaly or some crazy contamination. We will see.
I'm doing 2 other tubs one GT and one B+ same exactly recipe same exactly steps and the look ok. Exep air. Cuz this are big boxes and the mazas are in smaller ones.
Let's see..

I know. Fist time I see this. But I find it strange. Cuz I made one 5cc serynge from a print iv used before and I know it's clean straight to two master jars with WBS that I turned into 6. And they all have the same kind of growth. Each small box is a jar. And industrial the big one I used 2. I gave 3 jars to a friend and they look the same.
It just came to me me that I might have contaminated my print. I have more but it's the only thing I can imagine.

Huh... maybe cut one of them blobs open to see if it's really myc or blob. I have heard of that particular variety doing odd shit, like growing super fuckin' fast, or dense rhyzo growth that shoots up in to the air.

It looks like mycelium has gotten matted to where it won't pin, no? Can't that happen if it's too dry? Or just got crushed by water droplets or being touched...?

First time I tried Mazatapecs was on my first grow. Same print I'm using. I have a post here on shroomery on that grow. And it was just like that. Very fast and strong rizo that was growing up and almost overlaying but all went good.
This blobs are strange as fuck.
I'm gonna cut a blob out and see how it looks. I just wanna give it 2 or 3 days to see what happens here Maybe I'm growing elfs or faries eggs
IL post some pics of that blob I'm gonna cut out when I do cut it.
Edited: Just wanted to show this pics.. Looks like mycelium is growing around the water droplets. Crazy shit... they are outdoors now

Hey shroomery... So this tray contaminated... This is how it looked like when I decided to put it outside:

It got green and I didn't had the time to toss it away so I just left it. Now that it's drying the green is disappearing and something is growing. Can you guys tell me what this is? Is it mycelium? Some mutation? Or just some wite contamination:

Thanks

This is a white blobby af contam. It's notorious for being covered in dots that look like wet metabolites. This is it!

Energetic hippie shit (i say that with love in my heart, by the way). That's my guess anyway, side note, i traveled with the rainbow family quite a bit. Probably made of copper or some other shit that is supposed to direct good energy into the grain.

Exactly some hippy rainbow shit... I just like pyramids and for some reason the geometric patterns and fractals are a big part of why I like psycadelics. It might seem just crazy hippy shit but for some reason humans have been building pyramids. Geometry is one of those things that I realy love. And no they are not copper nor any conductive material. It's just plastic recycled into "art" if I can call it art. We get what we give. Put love into things you do it comes back to you.
