April 2019 Picture of the Month Nominations

In this thread you can nominate the best pictures posted in the Ethnobotanical Garden and other forums during the month of April. At the end of April all nominations go into a poll and we can vote on which should be the Picture of the Month. Anyone can nominate a picture.


Six contest rules:
1. Original botanical-related pictures only.
2. Originally posted during April only.
3. No Self-nominations allowed.
4. No naked humans are to be in the shot, keep it clean!
5. Pictures taken by original poster.
6. Original poster can veto any of their nominated pics. (:pm: me!)



Each nomination should include:

  • A thumbnail linking to a larger version of the picture.
  • A brief description.
  • The name of the picture's owner.
  • A link to the thread in which the picture was originally posted.


For example:


Thelocactus bicolor var. schotti VS167 in flower by LSoares posted here
