Whether you meant to or not your post has a cocky and arrogant tone to it. You can't expect people whose have a passion for something to not get riled when some noob acts like he knows it all already. Yes, you admit it all may fail, but that doesn't negate the tone that came from the rest of your words. If you want a pat on the back for choosing what most knowledgeable peeps deem the worst solution, then you have the wrong forums.

I don’t wanna get in the middle of all this but those jars look pretty bacterial to me. I’m also new but I’ve had plenty of jars that have looked like that and every one was full of contains. I finally think I get my grain right about a week ago and it looks way healthier and way lighter and the whole grain is covered not like the exposed bacterial pools u have sitting up against the glass right now.

I have noticed that some advice given here can be delivered in a rough way. The members here are really trying to help. Getting flamed imo teaches you to be humble and take the advice emotions aside.

I felt same way when I asked some questions and was like damn..so I pressed on trying my method and trying to see where my ideas would take me..fail. Then i realized what everyone has been saying was true.

I think Rye is no different than any other tek here. Just have to do it and you will probably fail, because hey, first time doing a lot of things, in life in general, you gotta practice. You gotta find the way that works for you, then when that light bulb goes off and you suddenly ses the connections you didnt see/make before.

I suppose what i am really saying is, yes, you will fail, but thats how your gunna learn.

You went from MS syringe to grains. It appears white and clean, you say to yourself..everyone in this forum was wrong..you go to spawn to a tub and you get contams, mold, some problem. After several failures (which is normal) you realize..maybe its time to learn agar, you see results. Some newbie posts a question on here, you say don't do it (because you realized agar and it's embedded into your process)

Largely because your post insinuates/comes across different when i read it; and you're new so reading outdated stuff is pretty common, Stickied teks at the top of forum and sort searches by most recent btw.

I suppose some may have been talking absolutes, but here I'm trying to explain why people do talk down on spore>grain in general. I didn't think you were getting why.

I'm not just trying to shit on or argue, I'm just trying to clear up where I think I saw some confusion in a new user.

Like I said before, some of those may work out. I'll still tag along and give honest input on the process, all agar talk aside.

Like I said earlier dude, let that jar ride out. When its colonized, put it into a shoebox and see how it does. I wouldnt trust mixing 2 jars of spawn together tho, since one may have hidden contam and one may be healthy.

Wow!  That is a shit ton of jars to do at one time.  One thing I’m sure of, is that you will get mushrooms.  Probably not as many as you could have but only time will tell.  Did you get the syringes from a trusted vendor?  (Btw, not too late for agar, when colonized, take a couple of nice clean grains and put on agar.)

I’m not an experienced grower compared to most in here, but I do know that when you start out like that and call people whiny pussy motherfuckers, you may not make a lot of friends.

The other thing I do know is that the people in this place are very kind and helpful and forgiving.  We all act inappropriately sometimes and when we admit it, these wonderful people will let it go, move on and be helpful again.  This is an amazing place, and you are right about those growers being great giving their time and knowledge to us.

Yeah dude I think with where you're at you could as stated do shoeboxes with cased grain I got most of my pe clones that way in the beginning... I still ran agar but even then I still had bacterial shit ...


I think you had your Hope's high to prove us wrong, but we all know what you're doing can be done we are trying to let you know that it isnt efficient ... literally one drop from your syringe on agar would make a lifetime of grows ... so I dont kno what youre getting all pissy about no one has talked shit or called you a moron nor has anyone said you're fucked so why dont you pull your big boy britches out and take what we say in stride and allow us to help you become a descent boom producer
