The movie was good, and val kilmer played jim well, but it dwealt too much on his negative self-destructing side; from what I've read, he wasn't that bad. Most of the scenes in the film seemed to have actually happened, though some are a bit out of context I feel.
Val Kilmer was excellent. The movie was visually amazing. I didn't think that it was very negative. I think it was pretty objective. At one point the movie would focus on the negative aspect and then the next moment it would show the world through Jim's perspective and then it would switch to the media's perspective and then to the fan's perspective. It was very cool.
“Nothing can now be believed which is seen in a newspaper. Truth itself becomes suspicious by being put into that polluted vehicle. The real extent of this state of misinformation is known only to those who are in situations to confront facts within their knowledge with the lies of the day.” -- Thomas Jefferson
