what is the best way to prepare for first trip?

if you seen people trip or you tripped yourself, can you tell me what you have learned over the years to point me into the right direction for me and my wifes first time?

start with a small dose. half a tab (or even 1/4 tab) of lsd or 1 gram of dried srooms. you can always take more if youre having a good time. safe journeys!

Safety first. Are you or your wife taking any anti depressants that could cause negative or dangerous interactions? Maoi type anti depressants are dangerous when combined with psychedelics.

Do you or your wife have any family history of schizophrenia? If so don't take psychedelics.

Have plenty of music ready to play. Don't plan on watching movies or anything scary. Nature shows are great if you put it on mute and listen to music. Have some fuit or good snacks ready although you won't be hungry, fruit will be the most delicious thing you've ever eaten.

Stay in your house and turn off your phones. Nothing will prepare you for this. It may very well change your life for the better. At the very least you'll come out with a different view of the world and what is possible. 2.5g is the best beginner dose I've found. It's enough to get the feel for it and have a somewhat full experience but won't put you on your ass. You have nothing to fear. Always remember that what you're doing is safe and even if it gets uncomfortable all you have to do is NOTHING. You can wait safely in your home until it wears off and you will not be harmed in any way. Make sure your wife knows this too.

Probably have one of you go at a time. You have a life together to journey in, hand in hand, but for now work out how it impacts you. Start low. You can always build up. And the safety stuff listed.

thanks for the tips so far, we are currently off all medication and practiced ayurvedic medicine before attempting to work with entheogens.

IME, one of my favorite things to do while tripping, no thing. Just laying and being has been the best feelings I've ever had on psilocybin mushrooms. No action required.

Be prepared to get confused, talking with and understanding your wife even at lower doses can be difficult. Just remember that you both love each other and if she says something thay you find hurtful you're probably misinterpreting her.

My friend got pretty confused, a feeling that he is very unaccustomed to and had a hard time letting go. For some reason he got hung up on us not wanting to be around him. This was of course not the case, but when he got worried my other friend also got confused which made them snowball a bit. It didn't result in a "bad trip", but it was hard for them to communicate. I was mostly quiet because I talking didn't really help anyone, which in turn was also misinterpreted.

It's a bit hard to explain, and it might not even be a problem. Just remember that it can be hard to keep one train of thought.

Start with a low dose. I think you will be fine doing both of you together simultaneously .
And the most important thing is to make you feel as comfortable as possible.
It doesnt suppose to get too strong (because you start with a low dose) but if you do feel its too much, Just lay down and dont fight it.
