Well, Beleive it or not, Microsoft Operating systems are SHIT. WIndows 98 is the non working proof to that :smile:

. Anyways. Because of the install process of windows 98, it seems to never install the same twice. I had 98 on my machine, it worked OK. Took everything off, put 2000 pro on there. Works a lot better (I am not liking this, Microshit are starting to make some OK programs...) I had to got back to 98 because HP isn't supporting my scanner and printer for 2000 (PRICKS!) anyway, I went back to 98, and it BSOD every second time I boot. So what i am saying is, windows 98 is a peice of shit, and even if you format, it doesn't seem to install properly first time, everytime.

Seriously consider going to NT, much more stable

I've run Windows 2.0, 3.1, 3.11, 95, 98, 2000, and NT. I think people slam Micro$oft more than they deserve, but to be honest, if you have the time, install a Linux partition (or OpenBSD!).

I'm currently running Red Hat 6.2, and I absolutely love it. Setting up my ADSL connection took about a minute and a half. I do a lot of programming, and I like gcc. I haven't had any problems thus far, and I only use my Windows partition for a few programs I haven't found clones for.

I'm sure a lot of people here familiar with *nix, and would be more than happy to help you with any problems.
