I have had 3 police interactions while driving in less than 18 months.

Twice I was pulled over

& one was responding to an accident.

Wanna give these officers credit.
All three did a really good job.

I had some really fucked up cops fuck with me. This was around 2009.

The past three officers were polite and understanding.

Today I had a panic attack and was shaking bad. I told him I had anxiety issues. He said not to worry about it.


Another thing comes to mind. When I was younger and got pulled over cops would ALWAYS ask if I had a gun or weapons. This seamed normally for a stop.

3 years ago the FBI NCIS pull my gun rights from me

But the past 3 times I have been pulled over the cops all three times never ask me if I had a gun or weapons on me anymore.

It's like some reverse psychology shit they are playing on me

Oh well. I dont carry guns. I did have a 3ft axe but that's for fun.


I did get a ticket tho. I just hope I can keep it off my driving record.

all traffic violations stay on your driving record for ten years i believe. at least thats how it is in the states ive lived

I have only ever been pulled over twice. One was for an expired license plate sticker (just got a warning) and the other was a speed trap.

Thankfully I never had much trouble with them other than being accused of something one time 

Always just treated them with respect , we have a lot of ride programs here , they flash a light in your face at your feet allover your car with a K9 unit sometimes

never carry weapons , just a bag of weed

Between my years as a criminal, my years driving souped up cars, and my years riding motorbikes, I must've had 100+ police interactions.

Unsurprisingly, I've learned to handle them pretty well these days. There's definitely a psychology and an art to dealing with cops.

Although I did nearly get shot the first one I had in America. But hey, that's America for you.

Mine still shows a speeding ticket from 1982. I don't know if they count it for anything.

Same except for the motorbikes, lol. Street racing all the time when I was younger.

Best thing I've found is to keep both hands on the steering wheel in plain sight until the cop asks you to do something, be polite, and then verbally confirm with him/her where your license/registration is before you go for it, and move fairly slowly and smoothly. You don't want to jerk around like you're going for a weapon, lol.

You want the stop to be as relaxing as possible for the cop. Anyone they deal with could have good reason to blow their head off, and they are aware of that.

I have never been searched, pulled over lots, but they never ask me about drugs. I don't often get offered drugs on the street either, I must not give off drug vibes. I am always polite too, I would rather they were busting criminals than hassling me for speeding, but the side of the road isn't the place to debate it. I don't want to be there, he doesn't want to be there, get it over with and if you want to dispute it see the judge.

I have a commercial licences.

From my experience moving violations go back 3 years. At least that is what insurance companies look at.


I got a ticket for "drove on wrong half of road"

Cop said he would write in the report I was unfamiliar with the area and was just following my GPS. An attorney should be able to get it dropped.

I have been fighting a red light citation in TX for 14 months.

No, I got out of my car. That's how we do in England, but I got a short sharp shock of learning that that's not how you roll in this country.

He wasn't looking at me as I got out of the car, he was walking from his to mine, looking over to the side. As soon as he saw me out of the car he went for his gun and shouted 'GET BACK IN THE FUCKING CAR!'

Of course I jumped in and pulled the door shut, after which he came to my window screaming 'WHAT THE FUCK ______ FUCK _______ FUCKING_______!!!'. Guy was only about mid twenties, and visibly shaken. After handing him my license and playing the 'ol 'Sorry mate, I'm English' game, he got rid of me as quick as he could - I think he wanted to go calm his nerves.

I thought it was hilarious. A British cop would never swear like that; they're polite as cops come.

I also was left with an odd feeling that, were my skin black, I would not have got out of that so easy.

The next time I got pulled here I talked my way out of doing 95mph in a 55 zone. Of course by this time I had learned to not get out of the car and do my sweet talking from there, rather than on the side as I would back in England.

Hell, I sweet talked my way out of doing 165mph in a 70 back in London once. It's a combination of treating them like your best friend and giving them the respect they want due to their having power over you. It's subtle, but it works a charm once you master it.

That's fucking crazy.

That's exactly what they did to me when I was growing illegally. They were trying to be my best friend in a nice sort of way while getting info about me. Crazy.

American cops are pretty paranoid, especially the city ones.

Yeah never been screamed at worse other than by one of them

They took me into interrogation with cops in suits and ties , that's when my anxiety problems  started

They said you know what you did , I didnt know what the fuck was going on the whole time

When I was younger I looked/dressed like a ridiculous hippie. I'd get stopped and searched all the fucking time, and was arrested 8 times from the ages of 17-27.

Now in my 30s, I keep my hair and beard short and neat, wear button down shirts and try to look like a productive member of society.
I haven't been stopped or even approached by a cop in almost 10 years. The police that I do see in the city just say "good afternoon sir".

Police profiling is very real.

Something I've done before was to set the license and registration on the dash before they get to the car.

Interlock youā€™re wrists on top of the steering wheel so the cop can see your hands at all times till he asks for documentation.  A cop told me that not doing this one thing is the biggest indicator of guilt (usually)

I also put my hands back on the steering wheel before they get to the car. But I can then get the documents off the dash when asked without reaching into a pocket. Not sure I understand what interlocking one's wrists would involve.

I am Jimi Hendrix on the inside, Ronald Reagan on the outside. Got to keep the freak hidden here in the USA folks. Been pulled over for speeding (back in my 20's, a LOT), they smelled alcohol, I admitted it, got taken in for a ticket that went to warrant. I have paid about 10 grand in moving violations, no insurance, and speeding tickets. Got approached by cops in a park me and a GF pulled into to do another mdma capsule, about 3 am. We just swallowed it, cops pull, hit the lights. I have a 1/4 of some smelly meth/speen wrapped in a 5 dollar bill, and about 10 more hits of mdma in one of those small aspirin tins that click open and close. I just grabbed some crumpled up bills in my pocket and the tin and as stealthily as I could throw it under the driver seat I was in.

There was a small ledge that dipped down under the seat and the tin and bill with the speed fell just on the inside of that. The GF and I both had warrants for speeding tickets, we both get arrested. The cop gives me an option of leaving the car in the park and calling someone to pick it up so I don't have to pay an impounding fee! He also went into the car and searched it with a flashlight, pretty well too, he DID NOT SEE  the tin and crumpled up bill with the speed thank whatever god(s) saved me that night. We both went to jail rolling, killed my roll, but the GF said it was horrible for her and they put her in a pink painted room to calm her,lol.

I was driving my moms car that night and it was a work night for her. I was able to call another chick I was banging, she went and woke my brother up by knocking on his window, and he went to pick up the car in the park, get it home before my mom woke up, and she didn't know I was in jail until the afternoon. She came to pick me up after she got off work, and I got the goods from under the seat. We then proceeded to party AGAIN with my crew and x'ed out that night and did the speed too with about 5 of us.

In high school. we were sitting on the hood of my car in a church parking lot at 1 am drinking.
The cops pulled and we all ran. When we came back the cops had let the air out of  two of my
tires. It was a rental car provided by my mom's company, so they couldn't get my name from the plates
and I didn't give a shit about the flats.

My step dad is a police officer so I've had plenty of interaction with police throughout the years.  I know all the tricks and strategies cops use.  I'll never get caught

Here's how Ive had the best success with getting pulled over

As soon as you see their lights blinking, turn on your hazard lights. This is very important. It let's them know that you understand you're pulling over that you're a hazard.

If your seat belt is off, carefully get it on without them being able to see it thru your back windshield

Pull over at the safest best spot nice and easy no matter how long it takes to get there. Dont just pull over anywhere immediately on the side of a busy road.

If it's night, turn on your interior lights

Both hands on the wheel, window completely open

As soon as they walk up to your window, give them 1 single nod of respect, say "good afternoon (morning, evening, whatever it is) SIR"

Don't look pissed or inconvenienced at all. Keep a professional semi-grinning face, as that shows you respect what they are doing. 

Do NOT attempt to make any excuses, or that youre in hurry or anything.

Admit to what they are pulling you over for in a professional way when they ask you why they pulled you over, and that you'll fix it / correct your act right away, you were in the wrong etc.

Always reply "yes sir" "no sir"

This tek has gotten me off some serious tickets with just a warning.

I've been detained a few times. Got pulled over a couple times and probably called the police like 5 to 10 times. Did a few days in jail once. No big deal.

I had to call the cops on my neighbors a while back for playing loud music in the middle of the night. The cops show up and ask the guy to get out of the car. They're on the side walk talking and the guy shoves the cop and made him stumble backwards. I though he was going to get shot. He  got locked up or something. Haven't seen him since, thankfully.

The last time I called a cop I got into a screaming match with him. Some asshole parked in front of my driveway and I had to unload a motorcycle up a ramp to get them into my yard because I'm on a steep hill and have a wall around my house.

The cop showed up, wrote the license plate down, and started driving off. I yelled "Hey, I need that car towed now." He said "I'm not having it towed." Then I said something like "I need my driveway and I pay a lot of money to be able to use. DO your job and tow the car or I'm going to tow it myself once I get back." It was gone when I got back. If it wasn't I would have just rammed it out into the middle of the road and made them tow it away.

I've bought H, LSD, and many other things in the Bay right in front of cops. I think it's a good thing that they don't bother many people about buying drugs. Arresting them isn't going to change anything except make their lives worse and make them want to do more drugs after jail.

This is mostly in the Tenderloin and a few other areas, not the whole Bay. If you try selling on the streets of San Carlos or Alameda you probably won't last too long.

I would rather them concentrate on the gangs and other assholes and leave the drug assholes alone.

I'm not sure why you keep calling me entitlosaurus. I don't care if you call me names, which is against the rules, that one just doesn't make sense. I mean what am I entitled too? I started with nothing at 19 and worked my ass off for everything I have. Digging ditches for weeks, crawling through 140 degree attics, working on top of ant piles of fire ants. One summer I literally worked every single day while going to college and paying my own way.

Seriously though, slow the fuck down. You could easily kill somebody by driving like that and end up dead yourself or in prison for manslaughter. You aren't entitled to go as fast as you want.

Oh absolutely. It is my unmitigated perogative to speed past every school district I can each day, precisely at the beginning and end of school time, blasting Eminem at full volume with my windows down. Frequently high on crack and hard liquor, a 25 fl. oz can of Natty Ice nestles in my crotch so I can regularly swig from its room temperature contents whilst mean-mugging the people that stare at me disbelievingly. It truly brings me the greatest of pleasures to swerve towards small children and even smaller animals, the fluffier and cuter the better, in a bid to mow them down or at the very least make them shit their pants.

In fact, I consider any trip which doesn't end with something dead plastered across the front of my vehicle to be a resounding failure; an insult to my manhood and a testament to the smallness of my penis. I am absolutely the paragon of the 'bad person' you say I am.

It's not like I drive fast late at night on empty roads, most often on a two wheeled vehicle which 'anyone could learn to ride' or anything like that. Where's the fun if I'm not putting other peoples lives at risk and getting pulled over a hundred times in a week only to sweet talk my way out of it?

I'm taking my CDL next week so I can cause even more harm. Eighteen wheels baby!

I'm gonna be a regular Mad Max up in this bitch.

I'm not one to just call the cops on anyone. This was the third night in a row they were doing this. These people are scum. Complete gangster trash that we've had problems with. One time the guy came on my property and started yelling and threatening my pregnant wife when I wasn't here. One neighbor pulled a gun on him. The cops are at this guys house every other day.

These weren't kids out having a good time. They were trouble and looking for trouble.

For sure, just checking because I hate when people call the cops at the drop of a hat; but it sounds like you were in the right.

I've never called the cops, but I've also never had neighbors like that. :shrug:

Yeah, I hate having anything to do with the police, but sometimes it's nice to let them deal with the situtation.

I don't even understand how they can live like that. I mean the police are there at least every 3 or 4 days. Sometimes multiple days in a row. I wonder what they're doing if it's like domestic disputes, gangs, or drug stuff?

I called the cops on some crazy guy on the highway in a lifted truck with fake cop lights, swerrvin everywhere, hangin out the window yelling at people to stay back... so I tailgated him...  I was pissed that people were actually slowing down for him. I'll look the other way on almost anything but if you fuck with me trying to get home and chill then its on.

i never called the coppers. not even once.. but had the coppers called on me.

Yeah but a lot of police will see you moving around in your car, opening the glove box, squirming around to get your wallet, etc. and assume you're trying to hide stuff before they get there. I've found it's best to just wait until they ask.

The police suck so much I don't think I would call them even if I saw an accident. Ive ass dialed the cops on an old phone where the emergency call menu could be brought up if it wasn't in a case and was in your pants. That was a circa 2007 blackberry with the trackball.

My step dad was a professional snitch/cop dealer.

The head of the county task force would bust meth heads, steal their drugs & give it to him to sell for a %

then my step dad would give them new people to bust.

Pretty fucked up.

He pulled me over one day in my dad's vehicle and as soon as he realized who I was he told me to leave. I was doing 65mph in a 40mph zone
