It's going to be a great year. I'll be pulling for Houston -- not without reason. Mike Trout is the $430,000,000 man, and I have every confidence he'll live up to it. It would be nice if the Angels had a better season. Let your baseball posts fly, gentlemen.

Will do.  The jap is amazing but they need a lot more help.  Just a joke.  I plan on seeing an Angels game this year.

As far as who will win it all, Houston is a good pick yet just in the running.  One does research and can have an educated guess that equals 5-6 teams with a legitimate shot at it.

Just looking forward to opening day.  Spring.  It is a wonderful time and the cities become electric.  Community at it's best.

Yeah.  Got to go with the Red Sox again.  They have taken over from the Yankees.

They had a great run last year.  Glad to see them add to the division title banners.  This team is interesting to me.  FREDDIE!  Plus their pitchers are impressive with their potential.  The Smoltz, Glavine, later Maddux from the Cubbies.  Nothing will equal that.  Enjoy the game.

Will see them at Coors, with a lot of Coors in me, when they come to town.

Don't give up.  164 to go.  Playing a rough team on the road.  Walking Harper to load the bases with strike outs his last two A.B.'s, didn't go well.

Rockies at Miami, if it was Braves at Miami you might be happy such as I.

They did a poll on ESPN about when does one become concerned about their team in the MLB?  25 games in.  Don't worry they will fine.

But how about them Yankees!  A homer for everyone with multiples.

Giants are actually worse than last year. And now they're talking about using relievers as starters (Bumgarner said he would walk out of the park if they pulled that shit on one of his starts).

And they are going to allow the fucking Raiders to play in their park. I dont even have words for how profoundly disgusted I am by that.

Everything has gone to shit with this faggot Farhan Zaidi in charge. It's clear money is the only motive now.

Whatever, if you choose wait 25 games in and if your team is under .500 then be concerned.  Going to see the Cubbies at Coors on the 11th of June with wonderful seating. It is not fun for me unless I can yell out to the players and they hear me because I follow the game.  When  It is great when they come to town and it is not stupid my hometown team and players are great and wonderful.  If they suck they suck and if they are good they are good on both sides.

I will wear a Rockies hat and cheer when Trout hits two homers in a game.  I once yelled out when Rizzo was batting and the Rockies really sucked that he was the only real all-star here.  He grinned at that.

Attending MLB games is so much better than crowded NFL games but the tailgating is as fun as watching the game if not better.  Like a day long party.

Think your Braves will be fine.  As will the Rockies and will both make the playoffs.  Long season.  One W isn't all that important of course.

I get your point.  But that many games in a season, one has to have a life.  Just love the rush knowing your hometown team is here.  You get all the fake fans at the Opening Day.  The M's that just want to look sexy and be seen and couldn't name a person on the team.

I enjoy talking sports wherever you find true fans that follow it.  Do your own thing.  But yes, I just bought a game that gives daily scores and if the fucking Rockies suck by June I will be heard.  God I miss living in Denver.  Though it is just a midnight ride away.

I add a lot of things of course, compared to each game counts.  Life is fun.  Baseball and softball playing it are a large part of it for me.  What does one do when their is no complaints in life and one is just happy?  Not used to it.  If the Rockies tank which I doubt oh well.

I never root for the other team.  But yes I paid to go see Bonds when he came back and to see Trout.  I will never be a fan of another team.  Maybe you feel the same way of the Braves.  Whatever.  It is a hell of a lot of fun and I can name off all their players basically.  Playing a Sim last season and I get their call ups and who is who and doing everything in G.M. mode to see if I could win a Championship.  Be glad you got one.  What a waste those glory years would of been if they didn't get to win one.  Compared to a 4-0 sweep.

As generation x we had cubs with harry and the braves on WGN and TBS.  Yes, long ago.  So I have been to Chicago and Atlanta since those early days.  The only reason I am talking about the Braves.  It must be disappointing to see all those division champions banners but just one that really matters.  They have a good thing going now and I think my team does as well.

Seriously though.  If I had a favorite team that made the playoffs in 15 years I believe.  Is it more frustrating to not win another one like the Bosox so shortly did or having one?

To me it is quality baseball.  But I have heard other fans of the Braves complain constantly about it.  Houston is quite happy with one after getting swept and I will be as well if the Rockies ever get one.  But I get the frustration from many fans.  Whatever.

Bravos are 0-3 on the road and Rockies are 0-3 at home.  5-4 to 3-7 is a pathetic start.  God this is bugging me.  Yet they get the W tonight I would bet.  Watching the NCAA championship instead.

It is not a rivalry.  And they come in for a series once a year.  Just have a lot of memories with this team growing up.

Stayed up all night playing a game to make it on the Baltimore roster.  Just saying it could be worse.

Like staying up all night playing on a Baltimore roster.

Like the Astros this year.  Like old NFC games that would determine the outcome of the superbowl think it is that way with these two teams beforehand.  Like when the Red Sox beat the Yanks and the Cards were an afterthought.

Yankees had to pay there old HOF's and suck for awhile but now they are almost ready.  Just think it will be next year.

God people really let their feeling be shown on this thread and being a fan.  Just booked a trip for the Cubbies and Rockies in June.  Those with hometown teams where you can go whenever you want is great.

White Sox, tomorrow is betting day.  Every game with them is like for each hundred one bets it is plus 150 at least.  But at least one can get a ticket there having been there.  Cubs, all corporate bought.

That is amusing.  Braves draftee from last year who was hurt going to Japan for awhile for millions.  Even from Greedy Bastards like the agent Boras can come some good things.

http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/26797380/pitcher-skips-mlb-draft-japan-deal

Say it is the wave of the future.  Become a free agent in the MLB at 25 and make millions in Japan.  Not bad for the cheap teams.

At Sox games you have your choice of 30,000 tickets each game. They rebuilt the stadium in the ghetto in order to get huge state grants. If they built it in the suburbs they would be drawing equal to the Cubs.

Depressing.  Sometimes it is good to laugh.

Ozzie Guillen had some great quotes though before they fired him.  Still cracks me up they got one before the cubbies.  People were so disappointed in the city.  Seriously, it is like two cities in one by the size of it.  And income levels as I wanted to rent a studio on the North Side but, yeah, no.

I went to High School with a kid who did a better Harry Carey impersonation than any celebrity. Carey was actually a lot funnier when he was the Sox announcer because there was no effort to control his drinking. By the 7th inning he was wasted. And his broadcast partner was Jimmy Piersall who had been in a mental institution for a while. There was a movie made about Piersall called Fear Strikes Out. He was played by Anthony Perkins, the guy from Psycho, but Perkins couldn't throw a baseball, so that was funny. Piersall was a great fielder, and he was an outfielder's coach fairly recently.

I haven't actually lived in Chicago since I was 4 years old. The parking situation is ridiculous.

I just read an interesting story about Chris Sale. After a terrible April and a decent May he is lights out in June and just became the second pitcher in history to strike out the side with nine pitches twice in a season in baseball history. It was first done by Lefty Grove. The only other pitchers to do it twice in a career were Sandy Koufax, Nolan Ryan, Randy Johnson and Max Scherzer.

Sale is one like seeing Madison Bumgarner or Max.  God he has strange eyes but like one commenter or writer said, if you don't like pitching/baseball watch a game pitched by him.

That stat by Sale doesn't surprise me.  Just didn't know it was more rare then perfect games in MLB history.

"The Condor" from his pitching style.  I love his fuck you attitude.  When on the other Sox when they wanted him to wear the 70's leisure suit type uniform with the massive collars he took scissors in the club house and shredded it which made me laugh.

I forgot Harry Caray (born Harry Christopher Carabina)  think he made a good choice in changing his last name, announced for the White Sox.

Before my time.  Nickel beer night would of been amazing, as well as bring your disco records and blow them up inbetween the double header promotion, I remembered it wrong but watched it again, and they thought they could get the other game in with him trying to calm the South Side crowd down.

Didn't work.  But that is a hell of a promotion.  Chicago White Sox disco demolition night, lol.  That shit cracks me up.  I would slide into second base as well just to do it on a major league field as a fan.  Different times.  Twilight double header, how drunk these people would be by that time.  I'd be down there.

Beats the dollar dogs promotion night I went to yesterday.  Still had a good time though, secret is smuggling things through security.  Not paying 9.00 for 20 oz. of shit beer.

Toronto got pretty crazy after that ump made that call in the playoffs where one could actually sense the danger for the players.  And people say Canadians are nice people.  They are but sports and competition does strange things to people.  Was interesting to watch live though on T.V. and see what would happen.

God I love sports and for a lot more reasons then for things like this but it is just an interesting part of it.  I played it, I watch and follow it, it is just fun most of the time.

This season is going exactly as planned.  MLB is very predictable.  Just felt great being in a great seat and being up close to the players and game.

Atlanta is fine but some shine brighter then others and Atlanta is DEFINITELY not a baseball town.

Fucking Cubs fans basically pillaged downtown Denver.  Nearly filling up the stadium with Rockies fans in Denver and all beer aisles were basically empty around town and tickets were quite expensive.  Was amusing talking to some locals about it, they came and pillaged.  Amused me.

I didn't see a MLB game last year and I forgot why I love it so much.  NFL and NBA is so different but I enjoy them as well.  Just like the pastime better.  God that was fun, like a fucking whirlwind.

Is it stealing to bet against the Rockies every time they play against the Dodgers in L.A.?  I get the 200 million plus payroll but still.  Is like death and taxes and every year, the Rockies endlessly lose in L.A. and L.A. has to go back to Gibson against the A's and that series of when they last won a fucking championship.

Thinking of Eck and that series, when was the last time the A's won one?  Glad to hear they are building a new stadium in Oakland especially since the Warriors are leaving Oracle to San Francisco and of course the Raiders to Vegas.

Still the Oakland Alameda is still the shittiest baseball stadium I have ever been to and I have been to the Vet for a Phillies game way back when with turf like concrete.  Have to say though, that game against the Astros was the most boring game I have ever watched in my lifetime.

Shit, just in a shitty mood.  I hate the strike, the chance the Expos had to win the title that year, people throwing coins onto the field, and now all the major markets winning everything and no parity unless you get a fluke like the Royals for one year.  Kaufman isn't a bad place to see a game, liked it.  Chief fans and the city I like the vibe, a sports town. Fuck L.A.  End of rant.

Really?  Then I shouldn't post half-assed without doing my research.  Usually it seems really empty from highlights but you would know.

Have to research more before I post to fans that actually live in the cities I post about with sports.  I like the Braves, grew up with WGN (Cubs/White Sox) and TBS, Braves of course so have some good memories of them and glad that I am wrong. Seriously, I got back from Denver not long ago and I love sports fans.  Especially baseball and football fans.

Meant no disrespect by it.  Journalism and college, I know better then to post stupid shit from the past before posting.  Thanks for waking me up a bit. Patience.

Soon things will start to get interesting after the all-star break with many teams.  That game in London with Yanks/BoSox was a joke.  As a betting man going with the Yankees at this point even with Stanton injured. D.J. is tearing it up which sucks.  Like when the Cubs lost Greg to the Braves.  But comparing him to a HOF pitcher is a joke.  I went on a run in Vegas and the only game I lost was when he was pitching at Wrigley and the odds were so good I took the money line for the opponent and lost 1-0.  Won 8-9 and spent it on a Hunter S. Thompson type drug collection, seriously, but my dad was still pissed that I lost it though he was so inane he would bet on his favorite teams in preseason and wonder why he lost.

The Yankees have always been good at having players healthy when the playoffs come.  And I will be rooting against them all the way.  Two teams I have never lost on in a game bet is the Yankees and Red Sox.  I respect them but don't like them and the Red Sox turned into them, the evil empire of 200 million plus payrolls so fuck the BoSox.

Anyone but those two or the Dodgers though I kind of feel sorry for them.  And watching a youtube video on the Tigers when they lost to a 83-79 Cards team long ago 4-1 in the W.S. and seeing how shitty Detroit, the actual city is, I feel bad for them.  And Texas just a little bit.  Like anyone cares.  I write on here like I am at a sports bar and chatting it up with fans.

12. Atlanta  http://www.espn.com/mlb/attendance

6. Colorado, lol.  That I could tell you.  But I am ok being wrong because I learn.

Thanks for not calling me something worse than you did.  On with the season.

God, the Marlins remind me of the Expos.  Under 10,000 a game.  It is a travesty they won two championships IMO.

Well you got the white trash thing right and the south.  At least you have more pastors and "mega" pastors with private jets because they say Jesus wanted them to have it.  One even has 3 or 4, because reading the Bible that is the message that comes across.

Notice how most of the worst cities in America are from the south.  Not the brightest people.

Anyway to baseball, even though Salt Lake smells like a diaper to you for some reason and I highly doubt you have ever been here, it really cracked me up watching this in Denver and they had the on field camera introducing the umps and one with all the flags and shit one mockingly saluted right into it.  And really, if you have nothing to add but that it is ignore time.

To be an ump and still have fun and a sense of humor is quite amazing.  I did it for awhile, not at that level of course but the shit you have to take turns many into assholes.  But there are cool ones out there at the games.

Some enjoy life and have fun.  Still feel bad about a call I made and got so much shit for it on a really high strike to end a game because I wanted to go home but it still doesn't compare to this.  Granted it was a extremely long game and I watched it, I will watch 17,18 or in this case a 19 inning game at times when drinking.  Makes me laugh as I hate replay.

Home Runs when they first implemented great.  Am old school, get tired as shit having players point to the dugout immediately on a close play.

442,812 views.  Yeah, that was historically bad.

It is comatose time in the Majors. Everyone knows, everyone just waiting it out...:sun:

Blah, dog days, I will be out of internet connection for a very long time at the end of the month but back in time for the amusing times.

And yes, there will be trips to gamble.  In the meantime, unless there is a nickel beer night again, will be heading off to the wilderness on an annual sojourn.  One has to get out of all this media and electronic shit once in awhile.

Live like someone who first came here.  Yeah, life is pretty fucking amazing.  Why I am trying to talk someone out of drinking himself to death.

Like the Astros for some reason but can one go against the Yanks?  Will be pondering this as I look for a water source but at least it gives me a reason to cut down on my vices and worry more about finding a water source at times.

Stanton.  Will be interesting in how he heals.  Yanks are good at preparing for the playoffs and health.  Unless the Bosox, which they will, start getting within sniffing distance.  I don't want to make the obvious dog joke.  I like rivalries.  And that is a great one of course.

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/27183735/kepler-homers-5-straight-bats-vs-bauer

Wow.  Sold my PS4 today.  The Show is the most time consuming that always comes to naught when one plays every game.  Seriously, that is the main reason I sold it.

Computer gaming and consoles are for sports.  Fuck Madden, will wait till 2020 of December.  Just figured that out today.  God going to be in the forest for weeks, mentally, I can't put up with the Show and ever being a decent pitcher for the Rockies.

But to the story.  5 homers from five at bats from one certain pitcher.  That is quite amazing.  I don't even know the fuck who Bauer is.

How bout them dodgers.  I don't care if I am the only one posting on baseball.

Wheel out Vin Scully, I do like/liked something about the Dodgers.  That and a sold out Dodgers Stadium against the Pirates when Strawberry was around.

Now, I go see the Rockies and blah.  I have my fun though.  Not beer bottle fun mind you but fun nonetheless.  Looking forward to football season.

They talk about Portland and Austin.  Keep Denver strange.  It really is a fucked up place but in a good way.  Go Rockies.  After Hampton they will never sign a quality pitcher again after his outings.  Sucks.

It is July and Summer.  Enjoy it shroomery.  Will be gone soon.  And if I don't come back from the wilderness over 25 days, I died happy and may the Rockies win a championship without the 200 million plus payroll teams.

It is what we threw quarters for at the Expos and god what a team. Sucks.  Pedro and Larry, etc.  They are talking about putting games back there with another MLB team as a two city team.  Shit, why not.

Watched highlights and Freddie Freeman wow.  3 run bomb.  Stat line is amazing.  Was more surprised Atlanta is 20 games over .500.  Been sleeping on them and maybe they will do some damage in the playoffs.

As to the Rockies.

First game of the double header at Coors, 19-2 loss to S.F. and that powerful lineup.  Every starter has an ERA that is at least 5.00 or above as I think Grey is now there.  Even Mark Reynolds pitched, the 1st baseman.  Starter 2.2 with 11 earned runs, Marquez.  Not feeling optimistic about wildcard chances for them.

Would be cool if Atlanta went on another, what was it 13 or 14 year streak of division titles?  Don't get me wrong, I like Atlanta the city and have been there on vacation. We had WGN (Cubs when they sucked) and TBS (Braves of course when they were really good) and so in Utah watched a hell of a lot of games. Just don't like the South overall.  Though I can be a bit of an asshole about it at times.

On to game two of the doubleheader.  Hold them under 20 runs please.

Braves about the underachieving Brew Crew.  4-2 games really aren't all that bad.  A Rockies announcers scribbled out the score during the game as it was ongoing today.  When it was putrid bad.

Blah, still worth the city, laws, lifestyle, sports town, and place.  Can get though why he would get sick of it.  Having to announce that shit inning after inning.

Still saw the coolest umpire at any game I have gone to when I went there not so long ago.  Guy really cracked me up.  And another one that just stared at me judging my fuckupness, yeah not a real word but a state of being, when I was having fun in a non offensive way.

Many may think I am an asshole at games or in general.  But am not.  I know the game and most of the players and they know that I know the stats and personalities yet many are surprised when I express myself.

Still, clubhouse seats the night the Raptors won the championship and the seat I had.  That was a special day.

Verlander has it going through 8 but the Astros can't score.  Hope he get the no hitter.  Just one walk which sucks.  Think he is going to get it.  I keep thinking Houston is in the N.L.:crazy2:

How fast does 5 months go.  Astros, love Cole and Verlander has motivation again instead of living dumpster fire that is Detroit where was just bored.  Think they can beat the Yankees when it gets to it.

MLB is like America after that strike long ago mid season when the Expos had a great chance and now it is one might as well make it a 8 team league.  Maybe why they made the stupid one game playoffs.  T.B. at Oakland or the other way around but it still won't be a sell out and have horrible television ratings.

Was amusing when a team could win over 100 games and not make the playoffs.  If it was all indoors they would do what the NBA does and have a best of seven.  Minnie is going to do shit even with the best of seven.  Think they get one game and lose 4-1 overall.

But two weeks left.  It is more just get on with the Yankees/Astros winner in the ALCS against the Dodgers.  Yanks and Astros will be a more entertaining series then the W.S.  Kind of like Boston and the Yanks for awhile.  St. Louis and the Rockies as an afterthought.

Fucking Cubs.  They actually showed a game on Fox on a Friday night primetime just because it was them and that rivalry.  Lost five in a row.  Cubs have lost a lot in a row.

St. Louis won a championship at 83-79.  If the Braves lose to them in the playoffs.  No respect.  And congrats on the 21 year old being the third ever to hit 40 homeruns in a season.  Especially playing at that field for half your games.

But yeah, go Braves.  They always let you down in the long run though.  Like many we had TBS and WGN in the early days of cable.  Followed Chipper through his entire career and more than that that with his party days after he retired and hotel room "fun".

If they make it past the NLDS, really I would be surprised but am rooting for them.  Will never bet on them again.  When they brought in Shef, thought they had a chance but no.  Days long gone.  But I get why Ted got tired of pouring money into the franchise and talent wise, they don't match up.  Not yet anyway IMO.

I would be to.  Problem is the Dodgers.  Great season and fuck the 200 million plus payroll of L.A., plus am a Rockies fan.  It gets boring seeing the payrolls as they are in the MLB.

Playoffs are underway.  Brewers with everyone hurt and last years MVP out the rest of the year against Max.  Want Washington to win.  Rendon.  Fucking champ.  Turning down 200 million, lol.

3-1  in the 5th.

Think St. Louis beats the Braves.  Hope it doesn't happen but it is going to be a close series educated guess.  Having watched them both.

If the Brew Crew hang on to beat the Nats,  guessing the Dodgers sweep them.

Wow.  Nice end to the start of the playoffs.  That was entertainment.  Thought it was gone.  One game series suck.  Why they have the 5 game and 7 game ones.  Don't like the one and done.

But glad Washington won.  Give the Dodgers a challenge.

Mattress Mack is all in on the Astros.  How the fuck does one make that much off mattress sales? 3.5 million.

The Behemoths are facing off.  Yanks, Astros, and Dodgers.  Sorry, can't put the Bravos in there.  Talent level is great but not that great.  One of those three.  Kind of going with Mack on this one.:wonka:

But that is sports.  Kind of want him to lose because I am jealous of him.  We all have our weaknesses but when your favorite team is 35 games behind the Dodgers, it is ok to feel such feelings.

Hope the Bravos or Nats win it all.  Sorting so much through my head while I write.  Precognition is muddled.  Oakland and TB, triple AAA to the big 3 headed monster juggernauts.

Time to stop typing.  Feels like I am playin Bach on an Organ.   :scrambled:

The one game playoff is fine. Teams should be grateful the wildcard even exists. Dont like one game playoffs? Win your fucking division then.

And we all know the Dodgers ain't winning shit. Those fucking posers could have a billion dollar pay roll and still blow it.

Put your money on the AL.

Allright, alright.

Charlie Morton against Sean Manaea.

Let the excitement begin.  One game playoffs that most teams don't even sell out for is as stupid as the DH in the seventies IMO.

Going with Oakland though out of pity.  But I feel pity for both of them.

1-1 in the fifth.  This Cards/Braves matchup is going to be epic.  Love it.  Especially actually playing a day game on a weekday in the playoffs.  Rare.

St. Louis has always been a baseball town.  Makes me laugh the Rams bolted to L.A. and now they get an XFL football team.  Stay a baseball town St. Louie.

Braves will be Braves in the playoffs.  Have to admit though, I thought Goldy and his blast was impressive, but this one at 455 feet by Junior, wow.  To little to late.  Losing the first game at home in a best of 5 is rough.  Especially with the records as they are as both are really good home teams, and mediocre road teams.

Is the playoffs, it happens.

Wow, 460 by Freddie.  How bad is Atlanta and it's bullpen?  4 and 2 in the 8th and ninth inning, bad, really bad.  On to game two for the Bravos and tonight a special treat of the Dodgers destroying Washington.

Only 1 so far in that game but it will increase drastically looking into my crystal ball.  Wait, just common sense.

6-0 one hit game by the Nats.  And now they have to face the horrible number two starting Kershaw.  When do they get to the Chink?  Just a joke, a bad one but just a joke.

Watching a series of pollical correctness and, in that weird voice the animator uses, one can listen to rap, and it's melodies, but one can not say nigger because one is white.
T
hen they draw this Chinese guy with this black and white guy with one of those large hats from the old days when planting rice and he is smiling with all his teeth sticking out and peasant garb.

I don't get that with the teeth but I guess it was common back then?  And then it is ok to call them Chinkies  if you are a Brit.

Oh yes, this is a MLB thread.  Dodgers will sweep, Braves will suck but I like them tomorrow betting wise and as a fan, money and fandom be careful, and am curious about the Yanks.  Plus why the odds are so low with the Astros and Verlander against T.B. at Enron.  I mean OJ.  Scares me of from it.

Think I will make the trip tomorrow to Nevada and stock up on what I need and place a large wager on the Braves.  They better win or it is all on you Brave fans. :begger:

Go Foltziwinzkieanez!  No odds up yet but am in a partying and gambling mood.  Taking the Braves no matter what it is.  I need a mini vacation.  Go Bravos.  Is amazing how generous one feels when winning and how that massive sense of lack one feels when losing.

But is gambling and am a sports fan.  Will like the Duke coach just call him K.  One hit over 6 innings like the Dodgers number one.  You can do it K.

Damn it, slept through and missed the bus.  Verlander is pitching a gem. 200 hundred would of been nice.  Will miss out on the Braves so will just be a fan and passive observer.

Would be fun to be in Atlanta and go to that game coming up shortly.  Find it amusing the weather in the East and South.  The new norm.  C'mon Braves.  Make a series of it.

Lol.  The Braves jump out to a 1-0 lead again!  Greg will hold that up.  Wait, that was a long time ago.  Seriously though liked the guy and the Cubs then the Braves.  It is like he disappeared off the face of the earth after retirement but with his personality I get why he doesn't do the announcing like Smoltz and just wants his privacy.  Think Glavine has gone the same route in life.

C'mon Braves.  Don't make me a jaded cynic.  Get the W.

I haven't watched one Twins game this year.  Seriously despite those power numbers and impressive win total.  Have to go with the Yankees though.  Think the Twins get one.  Pitching overcomes hitting when in the playoffs.  Not playing crap teams to tee off on.

Found it amusing they kept C.C. off the rotation but on the roster as his career is done.  the brew crew ran his arm to rags.  They want him to get a ring if they do win it which if they start winning championships every year again, :salomon:

Nattie Lights are up 3 early on the guy that always sucks in the playoffs pitching against them.  Think the Dogers will put up 6 but I thought Chris Berman had disappeared off the face of the earth and he is doing radio broadcasting now with another playoff team.

For the old timers.  He has nothing to do with this game.

Vin did it for a long time and did it well.  Wonder how old Chris is now.  Heard him in the booth on radio streamed for St. Louis I think..

Whatever, on with the game at a really enjoyable park to visit for those that have ever been there.  L.A. is it's own world.  People show up in the 3rd and leave in the 7th.  Always find it amusing the youth trying to sneak down to lower seats with ushers everywhere checking ones ticket.

But they know, once it gets to late innings they don't give a shit which is fine.  The pay they get is shit but at least they get to see games for free.

Wondering if the Dodgers come back, God I missed my fun bus to Nevada and the parlay of Astros, Braves, and Yanks.  I could of put the Dodgers on it but 4 for 4 is so risky.  Still wouldn't be surprised if it ends up with them winning it.  Fuck the what if's.  I chose drugs and alcohol over a gamble that would of payed off handsomely.  Say no to drugs and alcohol, lol.

Whatever, on to Kershaw destroying the Dodgers but always has such a huge smile in the dugout.

Go Nats.  I would hope so but Dodgers are going to win in D.C. at least once and guessing they get two.  Braves don't stand a chance when that series comes to be. Once again think it will be whoever wins the Yankees and Astros series.

Good game though.

Bravos about to go up two to one surprisingly to me.  Think they will win the series over the next one or two?  Should be interesting.  Surprised the Cards just got 1 run for this one.  But glad.  I like to be wrong as my mind is on betting in Nevada phase but when I don't bet, glad to see the team I want to win, win.

I really hate Martinez as a closer.  On to the interesting game and the Dodgers.  Knew the Nats would make a series of it but going with Dodgers tonight.  Nat fans are great IMO and they have a good home crowd.  But talent levels are very skewed.  As is payrolls as they kind of go hand in hand.  Why you have the Astros and Yanks destroying the teams in the A.L.

On with the game.

Tough one Bravos.  Back to Atlanta at least.  Not surprised in the least though from the start of the series that it will come down to one game.  This last one is playoff baseball at its best and I love to see how the players do with that pressure.  Going to watching that one closely.

Am surprised Tampa put up 10 runs but won't matter.  Plus think the Yanks will sweep.  Will be interesting if a team that put up that many wins from Minnie plays a game within a few runs or not.

Dodgers are already up on Mad Max and the Nats are done for whether this game or the next.  Would love to see a Braves-Dodger series and guessing 4-2 Dodgers.  But picked St. Louis and time will tell but think the Braves would give them more of a series.  But not by much.

Once again the Braves really suck in the playoffs but would be nice to see them get out of the NLDS for a change.  Am a Rockies fan so, really don't have much bluster to add.  Glad the Broncos got a win!  Denver is really hurting sportswise.

Wow.  Wrote that the Nats could give the Dodgers a series instead of the injured brew crew and on to the road and holding them to a run was impressive.  Won't matter in L.A. though best educated guess.

Just win the next game Braves.  Would like to see a Braves/Nats series and not a 4-1 Dodger one.  To whoever wins the Astros/Yankees series and the ongoing championship.  Is like the NFC title game way back when where whoever won out of San Fran and Dallas it was a given.

Still, I love elimination games.  Especially with the Dodgers.  May Rendon hit 2 homers with 5 RBI's and pay the man, lol.

Dodgers feel invincible in this one still rooting for the Nats.  Love how much they improved after losing Harper.  Money isn't everything but in this case, think it will be with payroll.  Think it will be over early but if they can get to whoever the closer is since the injury they have a shot.  Just get 3 and don't give up 10 in the first 6 innings.

Pitchers always suck on short rest.  Astros will still be in the -300 territory at home.  If by some miracle T.B. pulls it off great for all the mini markets and small ball teams.  Hope they do.  Fuck Matress Mack.

Never go with the Braves in the playoffs, never.  Thought they might be different this year but, no, never go with the Braves.

L.A. is close to finishing off the Nats, knew they would give them a series but also know they won't win it compared if it was injured Brewers playing them and a sweep.  Fun to follow though.

And Houston will win tomorrow and play the Yanks.  So sayith Nostradomus.  Sorry Braves fans, there are a few here.  That is rough.

That makes me laugh.  Christian McCaffrey has more yards catching and receiving at this point of the year compared to the entire Jets offense.

Wow, that is clutch.  Two homers in the 8th.  And like a previous poster said, fuck the Dodgers.  Nats have to get one more.  L.A.'s lineup won't allow a long extra inning game.  Please lose L.A.

Have to admit though, this is baseball at its best.

Wow.  Elimination game and two clutch homers off Kershaw and then the Grand Slam in the 10th.  Enjoy your offseason Kershaw and no ring.  Washington against the Cards for the N.L.  Won't matter when the W.S. starts but is great not to see L.A. in it this year.  At least Atlanta got one championship over the past 25 years.

But still for a pitchers park and a not exactly an offensive juggernaut giving up ten at home is choking worse than the Dodgers did IMO.  On with the playoffs.  Or maybe about the same thinking about it.  Either way if the Astros lose tomorrow the playoffs will get really interesting and the Yankees might start another massive streak of championships again since all the HOF's and the payroll suck is done with and they can spend that money for what they have built.

Just glad it is not L.A. against New York in the World Series.  Hope the Natties get it but that is like hoping what ever inane metaphor one can come up with as, it is not happening.  That is the thing with seven game series.  The more talented team basically always wins.

This brings me so much pleasure. Fuckin Dave Robert's thought he was gonna channel his inner-Bochy and put his star pitcher in as a reliever. Problem is, Kershaw cant hold Mad-Bums jock strap. Matter of fact, Kershaw is essentially the exact opposite of Mad Bum in the postseason.

Bye bye Doyers.

Boy the Cardinals sure are getting their asses beat bad against the Nats. Really happy to see the Nats playing as good as they have been considering they were awful for so many years and when they finally started making the postseason, they always seemed to play poorly.

I'm a Yankees fan and all I can say is I'm glad I work during the game tomorrow cause I don't wanna stress watching Cole pitch to the Yankees haha.

R.I.P.  Cards.  so .  Congrats to Houston for tying the series in that type of fashion.  If they do win the series  I think every win will be by one or two runs for them.

On with the show.

Nats are on fire. I hope they don't lose it after a week off, they dominated the Cardinals.

Yankees Astros series barely seems to have begun.

Yeah, has the feel of a drag it out series by to behemoths.  I used to think it was whoever wins the Astros/Yanks series get the W.S. but with Max and Steve reminds me of the Diamandbacks back then.

Nats wait till he is 31 to let him pitch  playoff games in a five game series.  Still makes me laugh to this day.  Don't want to ruin our superstars arm.  And he was always injured anyways.

I like the old days where the pitchers like David Wells would take acid and drink like he did and pitch a great game and throw 100 pitches.

On with it.

Cole is the man.  Educated guess this goes 7.  Amazing to watch him pitch just as a fan of the sport.  Nats, why I love this sport and will be rooting for them.  Like the underdogs but logic and reason.

Just enjoy the games.  $$$ doesn't always have to enter into it.  Got boring thinking about it of who I should of bet on instead of enjoying the game.  Done with that.

I'm glad the game was postponed, I've been watching baseball everyday sometimes multiple games since the postseason started.

A day off mid work week has been nice.

I was thinking the same thing earlier about winner of Yanks/Astros will win the world series but I think the Nats have a great shot if their starters keep pitching like they have been. It's gonna be a good world series regardless who wins in the AL.

I agree.  Thought the World Series would be boring but I still can't see the Nats winning it.  Would like them to.  Especially since Harper left would be amusing and Rendon is the hitting hero and gets his 200 million plus.

But yeah, comes down to pitching.  That is one massive storm, even made national headlines.  But gives Verlander and Cole more time to rest so all for it.  I really am not a fan of the Yankees.

"The New York Yankees are turning to their bullpen as well, with manager Aaron Boone saying ace Luis Severino will start a potential Game 7 instead of pitching on short rest Saturday."

Short rest never really turns out well I have learned.  Bullpen game in Houston and guessing massive bombs in that mini park.  If it get to game 7, Cole against Severino will be epic.

Yeah, that was a game.  Playoffs and that atmosphere.  D.J. I used to watch in Denver and that clutchness by inches.  Rockies fan.  Then 5-6 Altuve, awesome.

Really, I hate the Yankees.  Hope the Nats win though but sticking with the Astros.  Glad Cole gets the game one start.

What's so awesome about Altuve if that park is mini like you said?

Both those AL teams were the same. Big hitting teams with tiny ballparks. BORING.

Go Nats.

Yeah don't underestimate the Nats. Their record since May 24 after a 19-31 start was 74-38, they have been on fire.

The Astros seriously need to hit better if they wanna win it. They were something like 5 for 30 with runners in scoring position in the ALCS. They never really had big rallies more just big homeruns that scored a lot of runs at once. They have to step it up against the Nats, offense will be the difference in the series, mostly converting runners on into runs cause I don't know if there's gonna be a whole lot of runners in scoring position for both teams.

Also I can't believe Chapman threw another slider to Altuve after getting away with one he took right down the middle. He underestimated how good he is I think, should've went back to fastball, thought he could get away with another one. He's so dangerous. He said afterwards he was looking for one cause he knew he couldn't handle the 100mph heater.

Weird season and playoffs.  Especially Minnie's streak of never winning a game in the playoffs.

Anyway, Houston 4-2

How the Nats are even in it is amazing.  How Tampa Bay got to a game 5 elimination game against the Astros is as well.

Anyone think the Nats stand a chance in a best of 7?

Astros really got their ass beat bad tonight.

They aren't in a good position going back to Washington. That bullpen start in Game 4 looks like a disaster in the making, especially if their good bullpen pitchers have to work hard game 3.

The Nats faced really good pitchers in the nlds and nlcs and they don't seem intimidated at all up at the plate in the world series.

Houston fans have shut up.  Not that I am one to really run my mouth at this time but I didn't bet and want the Nats so it is great.  Especially what they did to Cole.

But like Greinke in game 3 though he is well past his prime think the Astros get this one and just wondering how cold it is in Senator land right now.  Plus it is not a playground park.

Nats remind of the D-backs against the Yanks With Johnson and Schilling.  But no one saw this kind of hitting coming except from the Astros just like the Yanks back then.

It is a pretty much a must win of course and think the Astros will be ready.  Will see.

Anyone riding the astros tonight?  Everything to me points to a seven game series with the gems at the end, pitching wise.  But at Disneyworld/Astroland.

Think Cole gets one and Verlander chokes.  Or not.
\  Glad it is a series, knew despite old man Greinke not making it to 5 they still did just fine.  Offense is scary but good pitching is better.

Think this will turn out to be a great series that one remembers and not bullshit sweeps.  Or Cubs/Red Sox, I get that.  Still boring unless you are a fan of them.  So what say ye?  Corbin, ptitched in bullpen relief normally 3rd starter vs. the 'stros bullpen.

"It could become the stuff of legends, the World Series equivalent of Willis Reed limping onto the court in Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals. "It's going to be crazy," Nationals outfielder Adam Eaton said. "Max was almost pronounced dead, he's now been revived by our medical staff. It's been quite the road, but to end in Game 7 and hopefully well-scripted."

Really have no clue on this one.  Sense the Astros blow them out.  Unless Max gets enough shots, fuck it, give him all the illegal ones it is game seven lol.  Seriously though, Zak attack won't last five but at 36 but seeing like a 7-1 Astros win.

Whatever, go Nats!  -136 Astros.

Coming up.  Game seven in the W.S. doesn't happen all that often of course.  I could give a shit less if anyone posts to this.  Shroomery is a joke nowadays.  But the culmination, is awesome.

Not a chance I am laying a cent on it just complete enjoyment for the sport.  2 hours away.  So sports fans, enjoy the game, no picks or spreads.  Just I really have no fucking clue and is going to be weird.

Looking forward to Max on his shots and pills seeing if he completely fucks it up or does a a great 4 or 5.  As a baseball fan have to love this.

Yes. Giants were underdogs in all 3 of their runs.

Nats won 5 elimination games, just like the 2012 Giants. :cookiemonster:

Edit: Giants won 6.

Congrats Trout on your third MVP.  I have red cleats and a Angels cap.  When he came to Denver he hit two home runs.  Still have the ticket.  Awesome.

Wow.  Stupid.  Iron man, Nolan Ryan type, lol.

Stephen Strasburg and the Washington Nationals have reached agreement on a seven-year, $245 million deal, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan Monday.

Dude is 32.  Watch him waste away Nats fans.

Cole and the Yankees for more at 29.  G.M. isn't an idiot and I hate the fucking Yankees.
